Account Disabled with $10,700


I signed up for Bovada on 01/24/2020. I usually use Mybookie and Heritage Sports but I often have trouble making live bets and feel as if I get ripped off playing blackjack on Heritage so a friend suggested Bovada. I did a little bit of research then decided to sign up for Bovada as my friend says he has never had and issue, they supposedly have an A+ rating and they have a good selection of table and casino games. Over the next 48 hours I turned my initial $50 deposit into about 11K. I tried to make a $4800 withdrawal via bitcoin and another 48 hours later I was disabled from my account with an email in my inbox from Bovada stating that "Your account has been disabled because it has come to our attention that there are other accounts using information similar to yours," and they asked me to send in pictures of my ID front and back. I have sent all documents requested, called to confirm receipt and allowed more than ample time for them get back to me but it has been over 14 days since I sent in my ID. My account is still disabled; I have recieved no communications from Bovada and I tried calling for the fourth time yesterday and was once again told "that department is not available" and to call back but it is becoming very evident that I am being given the run around as no one has reached out to me or has been available to discuss my account for 14+ days.

I have photo evidence of everything; My account creation, Receipts and a Reference ID # for my Initial Deposit, Transcripts from my email correspondence with Bovada (including me sending in verifying documents over two weeks ago) & even screenshots of gameplay & account balances over the 48 hours my account was open.

I would have understood if my withdrawal was held pending verification but my account being disabled after winning a large amount of money coupled with the fact that Bovada has had zero correspondence with me since I sent in and confirmed receipt of my verification documents just screams foul play. I work nearly 80 hours a week and I'm a single mother so I haven't had much time to address this but I hope that between AskGamblers & Bovada I can get a resolution in a timely manner.

Attached are screenshots of my initial deposit & a screenshot of my $4800 withdrawal request that was denied at the same time my account was disabled; I have more screenshots if need be I just didn't want to share my personal info on the Internet

So in conclusion it seems I have been scammed out of my time and money.

A month after disabling my account Bovada has concluded that I have violated Terms of Services sections 3.2, 3.6, 6.2 & 6.8

Information to be Valid and Verifiable
Fraudulent activity
& Abuse of bonus programs

Now I had been hoping that I would get a favorable resolution seeing as I did not violate any of Bovada terms of services; however it is now clear to me that this website is very risky and fraudulent.

I would suggest anyone reading this post take a closer look at the terms and services so you don’t end up in my position, the only thing I did wrong was win which can be determined a violation according to section 3.4 that reads;

“3.4 Accounts Open in Our Discretion. We reserve the right to suspend, disable or terminate your Account at any time in our sole discretion. All decisions regarding the opening, maintenance and closing of Accounts rests with us and any decisions we take regarding any aspect of the Software, your participation in or the playing of the Games or any aspect of an Account is final.“

So basically this says we can close your account & seize your funds in our SOLE discretion for any reason.

I am also very worried about my identity being stolen as I sent pictures of my ID, Pictures of me holding my ID and a video of me holding my ID as requested by Robert in Financial Services, who refused to even give me his surname, which I found very untrustworthy. Robert also mentioned this post and he told me that I would have to remove it as it is against their terms and services for me to post anything derogatory about them. Robert told me if I did not delete this post that he would not be able to move forward with my case. However I refused to take my post down because it is 100% truthful and I refuse to be intimidated. However it should also be noted that after sending in front and back of my ID and being told I would heard back within 24-48 hours, I allowed two weeks before making this complaint and it was not until after this complaint was made that I was finally transferred to somebody in financial services who within the first five minutes of the call mentioned this post, threatening account closure if I did not delete.

Players please protect yourselves. In trying to find a speedy resolution to my dispute I have done a lot of research and have learned that Bovada Casino is not licensed or regulated making it a much riskier operation for bettors than one licensed and regulated by some of the world’s top gaming jurisdictions. Because it is not licensed, Bovada Casino cannot operate in the UK or Canada – at least not legally.

While online gambling is discouraged by the U.S. federal government, Bovada Casino does accept U.S. bettors & unfortunately history has shown unlicensed casinos that accept U.S. players many times wind up making decisions that result in U.S. players losing their betting accounts with no refunds available.

I am an examples of Bovada Casino suddenly closing down a players account without just cause & you should be warned that always is a possibility when dealing with an unlicensed and unregulated online casino

I have shared with both Bovada and ask gamblers my information which is both valid and verifiable. I am the only person that has access to my account. I have not abused any bonuses or participated in any fraudulent activity whatsoever.


I hope both parties understand my frustration with this case. In the case that Bovada refuses to pay me I think that other players at least deserve to be warned as I wish someone had warned me. My account was only open for two days before both winnings and initial deposit were seized.

I sent a video of me holding my ID as requested over a week ago. I sent front and back of my ID nearly a month ago. I have sent all documents that have been requested of me in a timely manner and my account is still disabled. I have not received an email from Bovada in weeks; as a matter of fact the last email I got from Bovada was the one stating my account was disabled due to "other accounts using information similar to yours."

I would really like for Bovada to verify and enable my account. I have sent everything they have requested of me in a timely manner and was expressly told that it would take 24-48 hours to verify; 5 business days later there is no reason I should still be waiting, very unprofessional.

Bovada Account Disabled and Verification Pending for Over 10 Days With No Updates
My Bovada account was disabled on May 20, 2026.

Shortly after my account was disabled, I received a verification request from Bovada. As soon as I received the email, I submitted all requested documents, including:

1. Front and back copies of my government issued ID
2. A photo of myself holding my ID next to my face
3. A full page proof of address document dated within the last 60 days

I submitted all of these documents immediately and have fully cooperated with the verification process.

It has now been more than 10 days since I submitted the requested documents, and I have not received any update regarding the status of my verification or my account. I have contacted Bovada for an update, but I have not received any meaningful information about when the review will be completed.

In addition, there is approximately $11,000 currently in my account balance. Because of the significant amount of funds being held while the verification review remains pending, I am increasingly concerned about the lack of communication and the extended delay.

I would also like to clarify that the address on my Bovada account matches the address shown on the internet bill I submitted as proof of address. However, the address on my driver's license is different, as it has not yet been updated. Despite this, I provided all requested documentation immediately and have fully cooperated with the verification process.

I understand that verification reviews may take some time. However, I believe that more than 10 days without any update is unreasonable, especially considering that all requested documents were submitted immediately.

I am requesting that Bovada provide an update on the status of my verification review and, if everything has been successfully verified, restore access to my account as soon as possible.

Confiscated winnings earned

Hello,

I wrote this formal complaint on 3-15-26 after escalating over $3,000 of confiscated funds taken away from my account respectfully and was told by Bovada's dispute complaint department a response would be had no later than 10 business days, yet here we are roughly 90 days later and to no avail/no response period! This despite several attempts to resolve 5-30-26.

Formal Dispute of Refer-a-Friend Confiscation

To Whom It May Concern,

I am formally disputing the confiscation of over $3,000 from my Bovada account related to an alleged Refer-a-Friend violation. But no specific clause or term has been identified.

My referral is a legitimate, separate individual who does not live with me and has never used the same device, or Wi-Fi network.

Despite requesting clarification, Bovada has not identified the specific clause in the Terms of Service or Refer-a-Friend program that was allegedly violated.

Please provide the following:

The exact section of the Terms & Conditions that was violated

The evidence used to determine this violation


The justification for confiscating both my winnings and my referral deposit

If no specific contractual violation can be identified, I respectfully request that my funds be reinstated immediately.Winnings and my original referral deposit. Or please escalate to your investigations department for formal review. Lastly

If necessary, I will escalate this matter through formal dispute channels and public complaint services if to no avail.
