Account Disabled and Under Investigation After 9500 Withdrawal Request
On August 9th, I won 13k on Bovada. I submitted a withdrawal request that night for $9500 (with 4K still remaining in my account) and woke up to an email saying they were unable to verify my registered information & my account was temporarily disabled. I was then prompted to send in the standard verification documents (front picture of ID, utility bill/POA & selfie with my ID).
I sent in all of the documentation, no problem at all. It is now August 15th and I just received this email
“Hello,
Thank you for submitting to us your documentation.
Your account is currently under review. You will be contacted via email with further details and/or instructions once the investigation into your account has concluded. Please wait until an update is received as no details will be available prior to the completion of our review.
Regards,
Verification Team”
I had a previous withdrawal that went through fine for around 2k the week prior that went through without a problem. I am somewhat new to Bovada, but have been playing consistently for the 1-2 months.
I’ve chatted with support a few times & got the same replies everyone else gets on here saying there’s nothing they can do for me and I just have to wait for the investigation to be completed. One CS rep did tell me he would escalate my ticket to a supervisor, however I’m not sure if that’s actually true or would make a difference in this situation.
Up until this investigation started I was never once prompted to verify my identity, otherwise I would have done so right away. The part that bothers me is the last line of the email “Please wait until an update is received as no details will be available prior to the completion of our review.”
How can I be told to wait until an update is received because there will be no other updates until then when I haven’t even been told why my account is being investigated in the first place? I understand having to verify your identity given it’s standard protocol. However now being under investigation doesn’t make any sense to me given I have done nothing wrong, haven’t violated TOS and have complied throughout the entire verification process so far. Its unsettling and frustrating that I have 13k just sitting in my account now that I won fair & square yet my account is locked and there’s no timeline for resolution or insight on the situation as a whole.
Please help! I’ve loved Bovada so far and want to continue being a customer & genuine positive advocate for them.
