I am writing this review to warn others about my extremely disappointing experience with Energi Casino, despite the fact that they hold a license from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA).

Here’s what happened:
On December 24th, I made a deposit of 1,000 NOK and received a 300 NOK bonus, which is approximately 30 euros. The bonus came with a wagering requirement of 30x, meaning I had to wager a total of 9,000 NOK to meet the requirements. I played most of the time with bets of 30 NOK (about 3 euros), and at times, I played with 60 NOK bets. My largest wins and most of my spins were made with the 30 NOK bets.

After playing through the bonus and meeting the wagering requirement, I had accumulated a total of 12,400 NOK. I requested a withdrawal of 10,000 NOK, leaving the remaining 2,400 NOK in my account. Less than 1 hour after I made the withdrawal request, I noticed that my withdrawal had been cancelled. The reason provided by Energi Casino was that they had detected that I made a few bets above the 5-euro limit, which I find unreasonable given that the majority of my bets were well within the limit.

Energi Casino confiscated 9,650 NOK of my winnings, leaving only 350 NOK in my account. They claimed that I had violated the bonus terms by exceeding the 5-euro bet limit, but this does not make sense because I made most of my bets within the 3-euro range, and the casino did not have any mechanisms in place to prevent me from placing higher bets.

I immediately informed them that I would be filing a complaint within 7 days to the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) and the European Consumer Centre (ECC). It is very concerning that this casino doesn’t have a system to prevent players from exceeding the betting limits, and even more troubling that they didn’t pay out the correct winnings. The way they have handled my case is entirely non-transparent and unfair.

As a customer, I feel deceived by this MGA-licensed casino, and I want to warn others to be careful when playing here. The experience has left me extremely disappointed, and I feel that Energi Casino is not following the fair and ethical standards expected from an MGA-licensed operator.

I will be pursuing this matter further with the relevant authorities and encourage others to proceed with caution if they choose to play at Energi Casino.
