The final Counter-Strike 2 Major tournament of the year is underway! Until 14 December, 32 of the world’s best CS2 teams are duking it out for a piece of the $1.25 million prize pool.

So, what do the bookies say? Current outright odds place FURIA as 3.00 winners, followed by Team Vitality and Falcons at 4.50 odds of winning the whole tournament each. Looking at their track record, we can only agree. These three teams have been meeting each other in the finals of recent S-tier CS2 tournaments, with FURIA taking the crown most of the time.
The three won’t be meeting each other right off the bat in Stage 3, making the anticipation even more palpable. FURIA are set to square off against Na’Vi, Vitality will meet FaZe Clan, while Falcons are set to play against B8, a Ukrainian CS2 founded by the legendary Dota 2 player Dendi.

Stage 3 of the Budapest Major Overview
This Major is a big marathon for both the players and their fan base. It is a three-stage tournament followed by playoffs.
Each of the stages is played in a 16-team Swiss system format, through which eight teams progress further in the competition. For Stages 2 and 3, eight squads each have been invited, while others had to earn their spots by winning three matches in their respective stages.

Stage 3 starts on 4 December, and matches will last through all of 7 December. After that, we’ll have our final eight teams that will enter the playoffs with a guaranteed $45,000 prize each. The winner of the Budapest Major 2025 will be $500,000 richer.
