The final Counter-Strike 2 Major tournament of the year is underway! Until 14 December, 32 of the world’s best CS2 teams are duking it out for a piece of the $1.25 million prize pool.

The three won’t be meeting each other right off the bat in Stage 3, making the anticipation even more palpable. FURIA are set to square off against Na’Vi, Vitality will meet FaZe Clan, while Falcons are set to play against B8, a Ukrainian CS2 founded by the legendary Dota 2 player Dendi.

Budapest Major Playoffs Overview
This Major is a big marathon for both the players and their fan base. It is a three-stage tournament followed by playoffs.
Each of the stages is played in a 16-team Swiss system format, through which eight teams progress further in the competition. For Stages 2 and 3, eight squads each have been invited, while others had to earn their spots by winning three matches in their respective stages.
Currently, the tournament is in the Playoffs stage. Each match is played as the Best of 3, while the Grand Finals are a Best of 5. The upcoming quarterfinal matches are:

- The MongolZ - Team Vitality
- MOUZ - FaZe Clan
- Natus Vincere - FURIA
The winners of these matches will meet in the semifinals on 13 December, while the grand final match is scheduled for the 14th of December at 18:00 CET. The winner of Budapest Major will be $500,000 richer!
