Oleksandr Usyk is clashing against Daniel Dubois once more in the boxing event of the year.
The big rematch is scheduled for 19 July, two years after the two boxers initially fought in Poland. Now, the stakes are much higher, as the fight will determine the undisputed heavyweight boxing champion.
The Boxing Stage Is Set
Such a big rematch deserves a big stage, and the organisers picked one of the biggest stages in the United Kingdom - the Wembley Stadium, home of England’s national football team, which seats 90,000 fans.
Usyk is entering this fight as the defending champion. After having defeated Tyson Fury in May of 2024, the 38-year-old Ukrainian became the first boxer to hold four title belts (WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO). Accepting the rematch against Fury made him vacate his IBF title, so he is after it again.
Dubois is the current holder of the IBF heavyweight title, and he’s done his work to maintain the title by knocking out Anthony Joshua last September. The Brit also holds the WBO, WBA and WBC heavyweight titles, making the stakes for his rematch against Usyk much higher.
Usyk vs Dubois Betting Odds and Predictions
Of course, with such a big match getting a date and venue set in stone, it’s natural that boxing betting sites are already publishing their early odds and enticing punters with early offers.
Bookies massively favour Usyk in this rematch, giving him odds of 1.2 to defeat his opponent. On the other hand, betting on Dubois is a risky business, with odds going around 4.4 and above. So far, there aren’t odds on whether the match will end in a knockout.
Of course, everything can change once the bell rings. Whether we’ll see another controversial match like the 2023 fight is yet to be seen, but one thing is certain - it will be an absolute delight for boxing fans.
