Both Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forrest have sacked their managers this week, after their mid-week Premier League fixtures. The Spurs lost 2-1 at home to Newcastle, and Dyche’s Forrest managed only a goalless draw against struggling Wolves.
This leaves Tottenham in 16th place in the Premier League table, five points from the relegation zone, and Nottingham Forest in 17th place, just three points clear of West Ham in 18th.
Who are the candidates to take their spots at their now-former clubs? Let’s look at the names and odds for the next permanent Tottenham and Forrest managers.
Who Are the Favourites to Replace Frank?
First, let’s look at Thomas Frank’s time at Tottenham. The club had 13 wins and 11 draws, and suffered 14 losses under the Danish manager's tenure, leaving him with a 34.2% win rate. It seemed at some points this season that he just picked up where Ange Postecoglou left off.
The Spurs fans can only hope things will get better when the new manager takes over, if they manage to get things in order. These are the favourites right now to replace Frank:
- Roberto De Zerbi: The Italian manager has just left his position as the head coach at Marseille and is the no. 1 favourite for the Tottenham position, according to bookmakers. He is at 2.5 at Betfred.
- John Heitinga: He is an assistant manager at Tottenham, so it doesn’t seem all that unlikely that the Dutch could take over, at least temporarily. The odds on him taking a permanent position are 3.75.
- Robbie Keane: Former Spurs player and the current Ferencváros manager is also mentioned as a potential Frank's successor, with the odds of 4.0.
- Mauricio Pochettino: The odds of Pochettino taking over are currently 5.0, and we expect them to plummet further, as the Argentinian is managing the US national team and preparing for the upcoming World Cup.

The Next Nottingham Forest Manager
Sean Dyche was the third Nottingham Forest manager to get sacked this season, leaving us all with a question: What on Earth is happening in that club? After Nuno Espirito Santo and Ange Postecoglou, Dyche was next in line to get fired, but who will replace him?
According to news outlets, it will most probably be Vitor Pereira. The Portuguese manager is the former Wolves head coach, now looking to take charge of another Premier League club.
Other names that popped up here were Ole Gunnar Solskjær, Oliver Glasner and even Thomas Frank. We will find out soon if the signing of Vitor Pereira is a done deal or if somebody else will end up on the Nottingham Forest bench.
