West Ham have improved recently, while Forest are on a downward trend, yet the latter remain the better side, and are highly motivated. They must come away with a win from their trip to London, and the 2 DNB comes with appealing odds, making it our pick.

West Ham

West Ham had nearly forgotten the feeling of winning, but that changed last week. They faced Manchester United, a team that has given up in the league at this point of the season, and defeated them 2-0. Their previous win before that came with the same score, 2.5 months ago against Leicester.

Since then, they have dropped countless points in many different ways, both deserved and undeserved. This season has been a far cry compared to past, more successful campaigns. The team has struggled mightily most of the season, and the only thing they can hope for now is to leapfrog one or two teams in the standings.

It doesn't really matter. Changes are coming in East London, and Graham Potter has his work cut out for him. He took over the team amidst a crisis, and he did not quite lead them to any significant improvement - that will be his objective for the beginning of next season.

Bowen’s poor performances this season have not helped, as he is probably their most important player. He has shown improvement recently, scoring against Manchester United and picking up the slack. Soucek scored as well, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka also came close to one of his. The clean sheet was a rather fortunate outcome, not supported by their performance.

Nottingham Forest

The season is falling apart at its most critical point. Forest players appear to be running out of steam, both mentally and physically. The pressure might have also gotten to them. Now that every game is a must-win, their mental toughness appears to be lacking. Four games without a win, including the FA Cup failure vs Manchester City.

They even failed to defeat already-relegated Leicester City, and the match ended in a 2-2 draw. They conceded first, in the 16th minute, and were able to equalise nine minutes later, before taking the lead in the 56th minute through Chris Wood. It looked like they were on their way to an important win, and Leicester were not quite in inspiring gear.

Forest dropped back, tried to conserve their lead instead of pushing for a third, and a defensive error allowed the Foxes to equalise. Forest tried for the winner, but they couldn’t manage to get it. To make matters worse, the argument between owner Marinakis and manager Nuno was a really bad look. The Portuguese manager tried to downplay the issue in his press conference, despite the social media buzz it created.
