Betting Tip Liverpool - Manchester United
Liverpool are not at their best entering the greatest derby in English football. That being said, they are a powerhouse at home, and they have managed very well against United there in recent years. The latter are a flawed team, and especially vulnerable away from home. We like the odds for the home side.

Liverpool
Liverpool suffered exactly the same kind of heartbreak for a second successive league game, losing 2–1 away to Chelsea. The Reds started sluggishly and fell behind in the 14th minute to a long-range effort. They gradually took control of the game, created chances, and equalised in the 63rd minute through Gakpo.
They continued to create opportunities to score, but they slowed down after the 80th minute. Chelsea ultimately made them pay the price with a stoppage-time goal in the 96th minute, leaving the champions empty-handed.
Two straight defeats in London, following the previous last-second loss to Crystal Palace, have brought the defending champions down from the top of the Premier League. They now trail Arsenal by a single point. Arne Slot must manage the emerging sense of nervousness around the club, and the international break is arriving at just the right point.
Still, Liverpool must address the defensive problems that have cost them their lead in the standings. That being said, they remain unstoppable at home, unbeaten in league play at Anfield for 13 months.
Manchester United
Manchester United earned a comfortable 2–0 home win over Sunderland. The Red Devils finally made good use of another dominant first half, finding the net twice. Mount opened the scoring in the 8th minute with an excellent solo effort, and Sesko added a second shortly after the half-hour mark. After that, United slowed down, allowing Sunderland to create several chances but ultimately claiming a much-needed clean sheet.
This success lifted them to 10th place and, more importantly, restored a degree of calm after yet another turbulent period. Encouragingly, their attacking output remains strong, and they lead the league in both total shots and expected goals (xG).
However, Ruben Amorim’s side is still chasing their first away win of the season. Their two most recent trips, one to Manchester City and another to Brentford, were disastrous, as they conceded three goals on each occasion.
In addition, their last back-to-back league victories came in May 2024.
