Inter - Fiorentina betting recommendation

Inter - Fiorentina Analysis and Betting Recommendation

Inter and Fiorentina play their match in the 9th round of Serie A at Giuseppe Meazza, Inter's home.

What We Know

  • Fifteen of the last 20 between the two in all competitions saw BTTS
  • Eight of the last 12 matches between the two in all comps ended with over 2.5 goals
  • Six consecutive Inter home games in all competitions saw over 2.5 goals.
  • Two straight away games in all competitions ended with over 2.5 goals for Fiorentina
  • Fiorentina have scored 11 of their last 14 goals in the second half of games.

Betting Tip: Inter - Fiorentina

All of Inter’s home games since the start of the season have featured a lot of goals, and the pace the Nerazzuri have been able to establish in San Siro is a big reason for that.

We don’t expect anything different in the game against Fiorentina, a team with significant defensive weaknesses, especially against quality opponents. We like the odds for over 2.5 goals at 1.70.

  • Recommendation: Over 2.5 Goals
  • Odds: 1.70 (at the time of writing)
  • Stake: 6

Inter

Inter is in pursuit of the top spot in the Serie A and, going into Saturday night’s heavyweight trip to Napoli, trailed Milan in the standings. Cristian Chivu’s side has been in outstanding form, registering seven consecutive wins across all competitions before that match.

In Serie A, their last outing brought a 1-0 away victory over Roma, secured by Bonny’s goal in the 6th minute. Midweek in the Champions League, Inter made it three wins in three games with a comfortable 4-0 win in Belgium over Union Saint-Gilloise, featuring four different scorers.

Dumfries opened the scoring 41 minutes in, Lautaro Martínez struck during the first-half stoppage time, Calhanoglu converted a penalty in the 53rd minute, and Pio Esposito added his first European goal in the 76th minute.

Injuries remain a concern: forward Marcus Thuram (five goals across competitions) is sidelined, as is veteran defender Darmian.

Fiorentina

Fiorentina are seeking a way out of the crisis they are currently plunged in, and Sunday’s home encounter with Bologna at the Artemio Franchi was crucial. Stefano Pioli’s side had gone seven league matches without a win (0-3-4), sitting in the bottom three, and had most recently lost 2-1 to Milan.

They had a lot of bones to pick with referee Marinelli’s decisions in that match, particularly the harsh late penalty that decided the winner in the 86th minute.

There was, however, some respite from the crisis in Europe. On Thursday, Fiorentina cruised to a 3-0 win away at Rapid Vienna, their second victory in two games of the Conference League’s group stage. Ndour (9’), Džeko (48’) and Gudmundsson (88’) scored the goals.

Injury problems persist: winger Kouamé and new midfield signing Lamptey remain unavailable, while backup midfielder Richardson is unlikely to recover in time.
