Inter’s hopes for a comeback Scudetto win were boosted by Napoli’s misstep. The Nerazzuri need to win out in their last two while hoping for more Napoli dropped points. The games against Lazio and Como are must-win.

Inter
Despite Simone Inzaghi’s extensive squad rotation and the accumulated fatigue of 120 hard-fought minutes against Barcelona, Inter managed to come away with a 0-2 win against Torino.
Zalewski scored the first (14’) and Asllani the second (49’) for Inter. The Milanese took advantage of Napoli’s misstep against Genoa and closed the gap from the top down to one point.
The Nerazzurri are not in control of their own destiny when it comes to the Scudetto. The situation is compounded by the fact that they do not have the easiest schedule. After this game, they will face in-form Como in the last game of the season.
Obviously, everyone’s mind is also occupied with the upcoming Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain on May 31st. They will be there for the second time in three years, having lost the 2023 final to Manchester City (1-0) in Istanbul.
Lazio
Lazio has the right to be content with their 1-1 draw at home vs Juventus. That is, of course, because the equaliser came in the 96th minute (!) through super sub Vecino. Lazio went down in the 51st minute, but played with an extra man since the 60th minute.
That was the 6th straight home draw for Laziali, though it did bring them up to 5th, leapfrogging rivals Roma but still below Juventus on goal difference. They have a pathetic 1-8-2 record in their last 11 home games, and the only win came against relegated Monza (5-1).
Next week, in their last game of the season, Marco Baroni’s team will host Lecce, who are fighting for their lives in a relegation struggle. Lazio also needs to avoid defeat in Milan if they want to have a better shot at European football next season.
