Single-elimination game for the Club World Cup quarter finals, at the Camping World Stadium, in Atlanta. In case the score after the end of the 90’ is tied, extra time follows, and after that (if necessary) a penalty shootout.
What We Know
- First-ever match between the two.
- Three of Fluminense’s four games in the tournament ended without both teams scoring.
- Al Hilal have managed three draws in four FCWC games.
- Three of four games for both teams saw under 2.5 goals.
Betting Tip Fluminense - Al Hilal
This is going to be a really closely contested game, as reflected in the betting odds. The two teams will face each other under scorching heat, something that will not benefit either team. Al Hilal faced Manchester City more recently, and fatigue might arise, while Fluminense will look to play a risk-free game, in line with their previous performances. It is therefore not unlikely that the game’s first 90 minutes end as a draw, leading the game to overtime.

Fluminense
Fluminense managed to pull off an upset in the game against Inter. They defeated the Italians 2-0 in their first knockout game. The Brazilians started off in the best way possible, thanks to German Cano’s 3rd-minute goal.
From that point on, Flu were able to drop back and play the game the way they like to, striking in the counterattack. They finished the game with just 32% of the ball possession!
Inter could have scored an equaliser at different points, and especially in the last 20 minutes of the game. Renato Gaucho’s team was able to hold them off and added a second goal in stoppage time. Two Brazilian teams are still in the mix for the competition. Flu have been one of the best defensive sides so far, keeping three clean sheets in four games. They have conceded just two goals in the tournament, both in the second game against Ulsan (4-2).
The team plays the brand of football the manager asks for, with tactical and defensive discipline carrying the way. They have proven their fitness levels are exceptional as well. Exactly half of their goals in this tournament have been scored after the 75th minute of the game.
Al Hilal
Al Hilal are certainly the best team Saudi Arabia has to offer. They proved that in the loudest way possible in what might have been the best game of the tournament, a 4-3 extra time win over Manchester City. Despite falling behind a goal early, they turned the game around early in the second half (46’ and 52’).
Haaland scored an equaliser right after that, and that was the final score of the first 90’. In extra time, Koulibaly and Marcos Leonardo scored for the Saudis, bookending Foden’s temporary equaliser.
Al Hilal are a team that possesses high-quality talent, led by a world-class manager, Simone Inzaghi. The Saudis proved that they can hang with the best of them, and even defeat them. The game against City is not a one-off either, as they were able to draw Real Madrid in the opener.
More importantly, Inzaghi’s men have shown an ability to better take advantage of the chances they create. Their more clinical finishing started in the last game of the group stage against Pachuca and really flourished in the game against Manchester City.
