Fenerbahce - Stuttgart betting recommendation

Fenerbahce - Stuttgart Analysis and Betting Recommendation

Fenerbahçe and Stuttgart are playing their 3rd-round match in the Europa League group stage at the Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium.

Facts

  • Both of Fenerbahce’s Europa League group-stage matches so far have ended with BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored.
  • Both of Stuttgart’s group stage matches have finished in the 2–3 goal range.

Betting Tip: Fenerbahçe - VfB Stuttgart

Fenerbahce is improving under Tedesco, showing better structure and control, but still has apparent defensive weaknesses. Stuttgart, meanwhile, are one of the most entertaining sides in Germany, dynamic in attack but prone to leaving spaces at the back.

Given both teams’ attacking profiles and the defensive fragility they’ve displayed, goals look almost inevitable here. The market has already adjusted, but over 2.5 goals remains a reasonable choice.

  • Recommendation: Over 2.5
  • Odds: 1.65 (at the time of writing)

Fenerbahce

A new chapter began with Domenico Tedesco replacing José Mourinho, yet dissatisfaction among fans remains. Despite a major summer investment, the team still lacks consistency and chemistry, and pressure to deliver immediate results is mounting.

After a poor 1-3 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia on Matchday 1, Fenerbahce bounced back with a 2-1 home victory over Nice. Star forward Kerem Aktürkoğlu stole the show, scoring both goals in the 3rd and 25th minute, before the French side pulled one back via penalty in the 37th minute.

The real positive was the second half: Fenerbahce managed the tempo maturely, kept possession intelligently, and never looked truly threatened. It was the kind of disciplined, composed performance that Tedesco demands.

Domestically, though, results have been mixed, with the team already trailing in the Turkish Super Lig title race. In November, they’ll travel to Viktoria Plzen before hosting Ferencvaros in the next two Europa League fixtures.

VfB Stuttgart

The 2-0 defeat to Basel on Matchday 2 was a classic case of football injustice. Stuttgart dominated from start to finish, 65% possession and a massive 29 shots to 12, yet somehow failed to score.

Basel stunned them with an early 3rd-minute goal and then defended with everything they had. Stuttgart even missed a penalty in the 36th minute (Demirović) before conceding again late (84’) against the run of play.

Despite that setback, Stuttgart’s European campaign remains positive overall. They opened with a 2-1 home win over Celta Vigo and continue to impress in the Bundesliga, where they’re among the early front-runners. The next European fixtures will see them host Feyenoord, then visit Go Ahead Eagles.
