Galatasaray
A tough start in the League Phase, as they were crushed 5-1 by Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany. It was a harsh wake-up call for a squad built to compete at the highest European level.
Their response, though, was immediate and emphatic. An impressive 1-0 home win over Liverpool, one of Europe’s strongest sides. A composed penalty from Osimhen in the 16th minute sealed the victory, sending the home fans into euphoria.
It was an impressive performance full of energy and conviction. Galatasaray created chances for more goals and, while luck played its part at times, such results always require it. The mood in the camp has lifted again, and now they’ll aim to use their home advantage to take another big step toward qualification.
Next up in Europe: Ajax away, followed by a home meeting with Union Saint-Gilloise.
Bodo Glimt
Their opening match in Prague was a classic display of resilience. Trailing 2-0 to Sparta, they kept playing their attacking game and managed to rescue a 2-2 draw.
In Matchday 2, they hosted Tottenham and experienced the opposite scenario: leading 2-0 but unable to hold on, as the English side came back to level 2-2.
True to their philosophy, the Norwegians are an all-out attacking side: they score plenty, but they concede just as easily. Their approach is simple: “We’ll score as many as we can, and see if you can keep up.” They tend to be less secure away from home, yet their offensive threat remains constant.
Their next European challenges will both be at home, against Monaco and Juventus.
