St Pauli - Hoffenheim Betting Tips
Odds seem slightly off. This should be more balanced. Hoffenheim remain unbeaten on the road and should exploit St Pauli’s more fragile defence compared to last season. BTTS and Over 2.5 both look likely, but the away win offers better value.

St Pauli
The international break likely came as a relief. Their bright start - full of energy, attacking intent, and results - has faded into a worrying slump.
Alexander Blessin’s side have now lost three in a row after the 0-1 at Bremen, where they conceded in the 2nd minute and never recovered. They looked short of ideas against an organised defence, relying mostly on long-range efforts while offering little threat inside the box.
In the early rounds, Hountondji’s pace and Sinani’s creativity drove success (2-1-0 start). Both have since gone quiet. The midfield struggles to supply the forwards, and the wingers lose too many one-on-one duels. St Pauli have scored just once in three games, and the attacking flow that made them dangerous is gone.
During the break, Blessin kept his plans hidden, unclear whether he would alter the system or the personnel. So expectations remain based on previous form. At home, all three league matches so far have ended BTTS and Over 2.5 (1-1-1 record). They’ve been competitive in each: beating Augsburg, unlucky to lose to Leverkusen, and somewhat fortunate to draw Dortmund.
Hoffenheim
The break also came at a good time. Their 0-1 home defeat to Köln extended a run of three games without victory (0-1-2) and exposed a clear attacking drop-off, with only two goals in that stretch.
They started well against Köln, creating chances in the first half but again lacked sharpness. Once the visitors sat deep, Hoffenheim ran out of ideas. Most of their attacks went through Toure, while the midfield offered little creativity.
This team lacks a leader and a focal point. In other words, Kramaric. Relations between the Croatian forward and coach Christian Ilzer seem strained; he’s been left out of the starting XI in the last two league games, and his replacement Damar has yet to make an impact. Without Kramaric, Hoffenheim’s play loses personality and creativity, especially when they need to dominate possession.
The upside: they’re unbeaten away (2-1-0) and look far more fluid on the counter. They also gained confidence with a 4-0 friendly win over Kaiserslautern during the break.
