Bayern Munich - Dortmund betting tips

Bayern Munich - Dortmund Tips and Betting Offers

The match for round 7 of the Bundesliga takes place at the Allianz Arena, home of Bayern Munich. They’ll be meeting Dortmund.

What We Know

  • Bayern hold a 9-1-2 home record against Dortmund in recent Bundesliga meetings, with 11/12 games ending Over 2.5 goals and 9/12 Over 3.5. They have scored at least twice in every one.
  • In their last 18 home league matches, Bayern have scored two or more goals each time. They’ve also found the net in their last 23 Bundesliga home games since the 0-2 loss to Dortmund in March 2024.
  • Dortmund are unbeaten in their last 14 Bundesliga matches (11-3-0),  their last loss a 0-2 away to RB Leipzig on Matchday 26 of last season.

Betting Tip Bayern Munich – Dortmund

In their current form, Bayern look untouchable. Dortmund might resist, but it’s hard to see them doing more than briefly troubling the champions. The home win price (1.36) offers no real value, and goal markets are already tight. For those seeking action, goals are still the likeliest route.

  • Prediction: Over 3.5
  • Odds: 1.76 (at the time of writing)

Bayern Munich

Another effortless display of power in Frankfurt. An easy 3-0. The champions controlled everything, faced no serious danger, and managed the game at their own tempo once they went 2-0 up by the 27th minute.

Vincent Kompany’s team are in frightening form: ten wins from ten, including six straight league victories (25-3 aggregate).

Defensive lapses have occasionally appeared, but considering the packed schedule and limited rotation options, they’re handling it superbly. The football is good, tactical control impressive, and Kompany continues to innovate, even using Kane as a deeper playmaker. With Davies and Musiala expected back by early 2026, squad depth will improve.

Harry Kane has 11 goals in six league matches. A new Bundesliga record for this stage. Meanwhile, Serge Gnabry has rediscovered his form, Luis Díazhas already matched Kingsley Coman’s entire previous-season output (5 goals, 4 assists), and Michael Olise remains a constant threat.

The only “warning sign” is historical: Bayern have lost four times in the seventh league matchday over the last seven seasons. Still, they are 7-4-0 in their last eleven Saturday 19:30 fixtures in the Bundesliga.

Dortmund

Just when Dortmund hoped to close the gap, the 1-1 draw at home to RB Leipzig before the break halted their momentum. The result was fair. Not disastrous but frustrating. They wanted to visit Munich within touching distance of Bayern, but now trail by four points.

On the field, they weren’t superior. Leipzig closed down central areas and exposed Dortmund’s lack of true wide attackers. Yet there’s a silver lining: under Niko Kovac, the team are consistent, and rarely reckless. They remain unbeaten (4-2-0), consistently organised and pragmatic.

Kovac’s mantra: “If you can’t win, don’t lose” defines their approach. Dortmund take few risks unless chasing the game late. Expect a cautious setup at the Allianz, with Adeyemi and Beier operating behind Guirassy to provide speed in transitions.

Whether they play boldly or conservatively may depend on the right-back selection: Couto means aggression, Ryerson means restraint.
