Betting Tip: Augsburg - RB Leipzig
Augsburg has been a “BTTS-friendly” team, often finding goals but conceding just as many. They’ve drawn several times against Leipzig at home, but their only win came against a struggling Wolfsburg side.
Leipzig, meanwhile, has found a solid rhythm, capable of both dominating possession and managing games pragmatically. The visitors have the clear edge, though their past results in Bavaria make a full-risk bet less appealing.

Augsburg
With a bit of luck, but not undeservedly, Augsburg drew 1-1 away to Köln. They didn’t impress offensively, lacking precision in the final pass, but showed organisation and balance. They were fortunate twice: hitting the post in the 26th minute and surviving a double scare in the 87th minute.
In between, they defended well and even went ahead through a penalty (54’), before conceding the equaliser at 76’.
That was the first time this season Augsburg went unbeaten in two consecutive league matches, following their clear 3-1 home win over Wolfsburg. It remains their only home victory so far. They had been poor against Mainz (1-4) and competitive in the 2-3 loss to Bayern Munich.
All their home games so far have seen BTTS and over 3.5 goals, and in fact, every league fixture this season has ended with both teams scoring. Their more proactive, attack-minded style under Sandro Wagner has made them more entertaining but also more exposed defensively.
The defence remains leaky, while the attack, though inconsistent, tends to find at least one goal per match.
RB Leipzig
Now sitting second in the table after seven rounds, Leipzig are thriving under Ole Werner, even if their attacking numbers aren’t as explosive as usual. They’re unbeaten in six league games (5-1-0) since the 0-6 defeat to Bayern on opening day, conceding just four goals since then.
That stat flatters them slightly, as opponents have missed chances, but Leipzig get results.
The recent 2-1 win over Hamburg wasn’t pretty, but it was professional. They created a few clear chances, controlled the match and limited the opposition’s opportunities. The goal they conceded came from a deflection, otherwise, they remained solid.
A major positive development has been the emergence of Christoph Baumgartner. Once a supporting figure, the Austrian has stepped up as the new midfield leader. Energetic, creative, and increasingly decisive in both boxes. Combined with the pace of Leipzig’s wingers, he gives the team a new attacking dimension through the centre.
Overall, Werner has made the side more disciplined and versatile much faster than expected.
