Betting Tip: Bayern Munich - Hamburger SV
The scoreline depends entirely on Bayern’s finishing and mood. HSV visit a ground where they’ve suffered some of the heaviest defeats in Bundesliga history, and their current level suggests more of the same could follow. Unless Bayern show complacency, goals should flow again at the Allianz.

Bayern Munich
The quality from midfield forward is more than enough to dominate domestically. If injuries don’t pile up, they should win the title again. Still, as seen in Augsburg (3-2) and in Wiesbaden (3-2, DFB Pokal), there are worrying defensive lapses and long spells of poor control.
“We had far too little rest over the summer,” said coach Vincent Kompany, pointing to fitness and concentration issues.
The bigger concern is squad depth. Bayern are still thin in certain positions, especially at the back, and that will be exposed in the Champions League. As honorary president, Uli Hoeness admitted, they simply cannot compete financially with the oil-backed giants.
At the end of the transfer window, they brought in striker Nicolas Jackson on loan from Chelsea (for €16.5m) to back up Harry Kane. Young forward Kusi-Asare was loaned to Fulham. No reinforcements arrived in defence, which is something they might regret.
Domestically, though, it’s two out of two wins so far. The attacking trio behind Kane are doing their job well; it’s just impossible to trust their back line.
Hamburg
The derby defeat to St Pauli (0-2) showed where this side stands. HSV created only one clear chance, just as in their opening 0-0 at Mönchengladbach. Two games in, the main problem is clear: a lack of creativity. Quality is missing, combinations don’t come off, and the counterattacks have been ineffective.
The club moved in the market: signing midfielder Lokonga and taking Fabio Vieira (attacking midfielder) on loan from Arsenal to boost ideas in the final third. Out went youngster Stange (loan to Elversberg) and defender Agyekum (loan to Viktoria Köln). During the break, they also lost 1-3 in a friendly against Hannover.
For this trip, the mindset is simple: sit deep, limit the damage, and hope Bayern have an off night. Dompé was given a week off to recover fully, with the focus clearly on winnable games ahead rather than here in Munich.
