At first, I thought this Multiplier Odyssey game would be just like any other usual 5x3 grid format games, but it isn’t. Even though it plays with the standard 15 paylines, the features in the game are different, and is definitely a very high volatility game with its 50,000x maximum win capability. Still, I’m glad that it needs only 0.10 cents bet per spin, or 0.50 in my local currency, even though RM0.50 is not my usual bet size.

In the base game, there is a Coin Collector symbol that can appear only on reel 5, and whenever it does, it collects all the Coin symbols on the other reels, very much like what any other Coin Collector symbol would do. The difference here is that the coin values are all in bet multipliers and not in cash values.

The Free Spins feature game is also slightly different, in the sense that it plays with a number of lives and not with a number of free spins, but there’s no difference between the two actually. 3, 4 or 5 Bonus symbols would award 7, 8 or 9 Lives, and every no-win spin would reduce the number of lives by 1, but additional lives can be won by a specific symbol during the free spins. There also 3 other special symbols in play, each awarding different rewards, such as a Multiplier Upgrade to 1 symbol, a Multiplier Upgrade to all symbols, and a Removal of the lowest multiplier. The Free Spins feature game has 11 Multipliers at the top, each win removing one multiplier, and the last 11th Multiplier awarding a Super Spin that guarantees a win with its x100 multiplier. This is where the biggest win can come from.

I gave this game a few thousand spins in my very first play on it, liking it in some aspects but not liking it with a few others. As expected, that 50,000x maximum win puts this game as biased towards Bonus Buys play, but the base game play is not too badly balanced, even though the Bonus games and any decent wins are very difficult to get. I gave the Bonus Buys a few tries, and managed to get the best win from it, a 384x win. The base game couldn’t even give a 20x win, so imagine that! If you want to play this game, use the Bonus Buy feature and you’d get a more satisfying game play!
