Corals really do treat their new players very well indeed as this is the first part of a generous little package - It’s not quite as generous as it used to be mind.

Whilst my review of this part of the bonus is perhaps generally negative, in a way I guess it's largely influenced by the fact they offer a much better 500% welcome bonus as well, and its nice of them to let you take both of these bonuses one after the other despite the terms for the second being much better than this one. Some players might choose to skip this part entirely and I wouldn’t blame them, but I want to try and be balanced because a 200% bonus, even with a 50 x wagering requirement, is becoming a rarer and rarer now, so I do applaud Corals for at least still offering this kind of bonus without any ridiculous terms and conditions attached.
I think they actually had a £10 no deposit bonus when I signed up, and the wagering terms weren’t quite as harsh back then either – you’ll need to wager £500 in order to convert your winnings to cash, that’s 50 x the bonus amount, but so many casinos would probably make it 50 x the deposit plus bonus which would be even harsher, so its not the worst deal around. You’ll need a fair amount of luck, optimism and perhaps the will of god in order to make a profit from this fiver of your hard earned though ;)

See, in truth with a balance of just £15 and a wagering target of £500, I guess I just think there are very few people who will come away a winner from this bonus, though I guess as it is effectively a 200% deal its probably worth taking anyway just for a little bit of fun. If you were to hit the slots at 50p a spin say and have a big win early on then you may well find yourself in a profitable position, and if you don’t you can always move on to the 2nd stage of the welcome bonus package, which as well as being an enormous 500% deal, also has a much lower wagering requirement as well – I’m not sure their promotions manager has thought the whole thing through very well personally but there we go!

Contrary to what it says on the Askgamblers data above, this bonus is infact cashable – Corals have not sunk to the depths that Ladbrokes are currently occupying with these dodgy “Sticky” bonuses I believe they are called, whereby even after you spend all night battling against the wagering requirements, they still insist on taking the bonus funds back off you when you withdraw – for me this pretty much defeats the purpose of taking a bonus, I understand that they are meant to be for wagering purposes only, but the casinos are carefully working out these bonuses and wagering requirements against the RTP of their games with the specific intention of ensuring that only a very lucky player will ever finish their session with some amount of the bonus remaining – to take the bonus off the player at the end of it, just smacks of desperation in my view. If you can't afford to offer the bonus, design one that you can!

Anyway, I apologise, I've just ranted quite a bit there but it seems very relevant to me as Coral has been unfairly tarred with the same brush on this page, when infact they do not steal this ten pounds back off you if you are somehow lucky enough to use it to wager £500 on their slot machines.

You are only able to play the Playtech games using bonus funds, but most games are permitted at a reduced contribution percentage including Blackjack and Video Poker. You can keep track of your outstanding wagering requirements by clicking on your balance at the top of the main Coral webpage, this brings up a popup box which explains your current balance in excellent detail. I really like this feature although it is available in some form at a lot of Playtech sites, but it seems to be executed best here at Gala and Corals.
If I had to complain about anything it would be that you now need to make a deposit of £5 to get this bonus rather than just registering your card details, as my friend who showed me Corals site told me they had to do to receive their bonus sometime in the past. Its not a deal breaker for me, but it is always nice to try a new casino without having to make a deposit!
