Werder Bremen

This is the team that is in the best shape in the league at this moment. This was confirmed last weekend in the 1-0 win against Bochum. Werder didn't start the game well and only threatened their opponents from set pieces in the first half.

After the break, they stepped up their game, got closer to Bochum's area and were rewarded in the 80th minute with a goal from Weiser. The away team finished the game with 10 players.

That’s how Ole Werner's side achieved a fourth consecutive league win, now boasting a 6-2-7 record in 2025, having conceded only one goal in these matches.

They have significantly improved on the defensive end, as they had allowed 30 goals in 12 matches prior to this impressive stretch.

Werder climbed even further in the standings, now sitting in the 8th position with 45 points, two points away from 6th-placed Mainz and four points from the top four. Next week, Werder will host Union Berlin, who have secured their survival and will close the season against Leipzig (home) and Heidenheim (away).

St. Pauli

They secured another very important point last week, drawing with 2nd-placed Leverkusen at home (1-1). St. Pauli delivered a solid performance, controlling the visitors' attacking activity and limiting them to a total of six attempts.

Last year's champions took advantage of one of them and took the lead in the 32nd minute. The home side rallied in the second half and equalised through Boukhalfa (78').

St. Pauli has collected 30 points so far and is now eight points clear of the danger zone and 16th-placed Heidenheim. With four rounds remaining, they will probably need another good result or two to avoid the risk of relegation.

After the Bremen game, they will host Stuttgart, and then close the season with away games against Eintracht and a home game against Bochum.

St. Pauli has three consecutive games without a defeat (1-2-0) and has lost only once in their last six matches, to leaders Bayern Munich (3-2). They found themselves very close to the danger zone, but improved their performance in the crucial part of the season, and it looks like they will stay in the Bundesliga next season.

Away from home, their overall score is 5-1-9.
