Betting Tip: Udinese - Fiorentina

Udinese have no particular motivation, and the same is likely to be the case for Fiorentina, in case they get news that Lazio are winning their game vs Lecce, a very likely scenario. It stands to reason, then, that both teams will be stress-free, something that makes BTTS very appealing.

Udinese

The team approached their away game versus Juventus without any particular level of motivation. They kept a clean sheet in the first half but Juventus scored in the 61st minute. Udinese tried to balance things out but they just couldn’t keep up with Juventus, as the latter doubled their lead late. Any hopes Udinese still maintained about finishing in the top half of the league were squashed, as the gap is now 5 points wide.

Still, the season is overall deemed to be a success, considering Udinese managed to secure their survival early on, thanks to a very strong first half of the season. That was their main objective, and now the two questions that arise are whether manager Kosta Runjaic will stay in charge and if the board will spend to improve the roster. There is a need for the latter.

Fiorentina

Fiorentina came away with an adventurous win in their game against Bologna. They took the lead in the 13th minute with a somewhat fortunate goal by Parisi, conceded an equaliser in the second, took the lead again, but Bologna equalised for the second time in the 79th minute. In the end, Moise Kean was able to give his team the lead and the win, before Bologna went down to ten men.

These three points allowed Fiorentina to tie Bologna in the standings and leapfrog Milan. Even more importantly, their hopes of European football are still alive, albeit very limited. The way for that to materialise is if they win away at Udinese, and Lazio lose at home to lowly Lecce. Not quite likely.

It’s been a rough few weeks for Fiorentina, as they were knocked out of the Conference League in the semi-finals, failing to make a third consecutive appearance in the final. Betis overcame them in extra time of the second leg.
