Milan – Cremonese

Milan – Cremonese Predictions and Analysis

Match for the 1st round of Serie A, at San Siro, home of Milan.

Betting Tip: Milan – Cremonese

Milan had a difficult season last year and missed out on European football. With a lighter schedule this season, they can focus fully on domestic competitions. Cremonese, newly promoted, are unlikely to match Milan’s quality, and the Rossoneri are expected to claim a comfortable win with plenty of goals.

Recommendation: Milan to win and over 2.5 goals

Odds: 1.93

Milan

The 2024/25 season was disappointing for Milan: they finished eighth, lost the Coppa Italia final 1-0 to Bologna, and missed out on European qualification for the first time since 2014/15.

Manager Sergio Conceição departed, and Massimiliano Allegri returned after 11.5 years away. Allegri previously led Juventus to the 2023/24 Coppa Italia victory.

Key signings include midfielders Jashari (Club Bruges) and Ricci (Torino), left-back Estupiñán (Brighton), and Luka Modrić from Real Madrid. Departures include Reijnders for €55 million and left-back Theo Hernández.

Preseason results were mixed: 1-0 loss to Arsenal, 4-1 loss to Chelsea, and 4-2 win over Liverpool. They comfortably defeated Bari 2-0 in the third round of the Coppa Italia.

Cremonese

After two years away, Cremonese return to Serie A, securing promotion via Serie B playoffs against Spezia (0-0 home draw, 3-2 away win).

Manager Giovanni Stroppa left, and Davide Nicola joined from Cagliari.

Cremonese strengthened their squad mainly with loanees, including goalkeeper Audero (Como), winger Zerbin (Napoli), and defender Baschirotto (Lecce). They still need reinforcements, as preseason results were inconsistent, including a penalty shootout loss to Palermo after a 0-0 draw in Coppa Italia.
