Napoli

The 33rd round of the Serie A was very favourable for Napoli. McTominay’s header brought the team the 1-0 away win over Monza, and together with Inter’s defeat at Bologna, things became more interesting at the top of the table.

Napoli is now level with Inter at the top, and the prospect of a playoff game for the league winner has now become a possibility.

Conte’s side has a couple of advantages over their Milanese rivals - a more manageable schedule for the remaining matches in the league and no European distractions like Inter’s Champions League clash against Barcelona.

Napoli will only face teams from the bottom half of the table for the rest of the season. They will visit Lecce and Parma, teams in the bottom five.

However, Antonio Conte’s recent comments regarding his future as Napoli's manager have been problematic. He expressed a desire to leave his position if the board does not show a willingness to invest in the transfer window to improve the team. President de Laurentis stated that everything will clear up at the end of the season based on the team’s final position.

Torino

Torino’s opponents on its quest to remain in the top half of the table are Udinese, Genoa, and Como. Things could have gone better for Torino if the team had performed better at home against weaker opponents. Draws against teams such as Monza (1-1), Parma (0-0), Genoa (1-1), and Verona (1-1) ultimately doomed any further aspirations.

Torino managed to win three points against out-of-form Udinese, defeating them 2-0 and missing out on chances to score even more goals. Adams gave them the lead in the 39th minute, and Dembele added the cherry on top in the 85th.

Manager Paolo Vanoli expressed his satisfaction with his team’s performance, adding that the team will push hard for a win in every remaining match, regardless of the opponent.
