Inter - Barcelona Betting Tips and Offers

The second leg of the Champions League semi-finals between Inter and Barcelona is played at Giuseppe Meazza, home of Inter.

In case the aggregate after the end of the second match is even, extra time follows, and after that (if necessary) a penalty shootout. The winner of this leg will advance and face either Arsenal or PSG in the final.

What We Know

  • First leg: Barcelona - Inter 3-3. The away side took a 0-2 lead by the 21st minute, but the Catalans roared back and equalised before the half was out. Inter took another short-lived lead, and Barca’s equaliser was the last goal of the game.
  • Barcelona lead the head-to-head, 6-5-2.
  • Inter have won just 2 of their last 16 games against Spanish teams in the Champions League (2-5-9).
  • Barcelona have a dominant 32-23-13 record against Italian sides.

Betting Tip Inter - Barcelona

Barcelona came into the first leg fatigued from their weekend Copa del Rey heroics, and Inter took advantage. That is unlikely to be repeated, and the quality difference between the two should come through this time. Barcelona to qualify is our pick.

  • Betting Tip: Barcelona to Qualify.

Inter

Inter is not at its best right now, but it is not a team that should be counted out. This is not only because they knocked Bayern out in the last round, but also because they showed the ability to survive in Barcelona, despite not being the better side.

They lost the Coppa Italia, they are in a dogfight for the Serie A, but everyone’s top priority must be the semi-final against Barcelona, especially after the first match. Yet another Champions League final appearance would be a huge accomplishment.

They were a finalist in 2023, in a loss to Manchester City, but it would take a monumental effort to go through again. The first leg showed Inter's struggle with containing the immense attacking talent at Barcelona’s disposal.

Yamal and Raphinha roamed free, creating trouble for a side that usually does not concede many chances. However, Inter showed their teeth as well. They possess a lot of quality in the attacking field and can strike in both the counterattack and set pieces.

Lautaro Martinez always poses a threat, and Dumfries scored twice from corners in the first leg against Barcelona.

Barcelona

This dreamlike season keeps getting better. Barcelona managed to beat rivals Real Madrid in a highly memorable Copa del Rey final, and they are leading La Liga. That is not enough, however, for such a talented team.

Everyone dreams of the treble, especially since the team is close to the Champions League final. They did not quite knock out superteams, eliminating Benfica and Dortmund in the previous rounds, even though they proved to be worthy opponents.

Inter are a different beast, and it’s gonna take a whole lot more for Barcelona to overcome them, as evident from the first leg. Barca were the better side, but they were not able to earn a win that would have given them a decisive advantage ahead of the second leg.

Still, their attacking quality is so impressive that it might as well be enough for an away win. Barca will, of course, need to be more disciplined defensively, which in some ways runs contrary to their established and successful play style, scoring more than they concede.
