Betting Tip PSG - Inter Miami

Not much to say about this match. If Paris Saint-Germain play at a 60% capacity, they will have no trouble dispatching the Americans, unless they are catastrophically unlucky. They will likely go for the kill in the first half, hoping to snuff out any chance of an upset early on. We are expecting them to win this one in the first half.

PSG

Despite some initial stress, thanks to the surprising 1-0 defeat to Botafogo in the second game, Paris Saint-Germain were able to finish in the group’s first place. The comfortable 4-0 win over Atletico Madrid was decisive towards that goal, giving them the goal differential needed to place on top.

The work ahead is not as difficult, and the path to the quarter finals appears set. The talent difference between them and Inter Miami is substantial. If they manage to limit Lionel Messi, it won’t be difficult to move past the Americans.

We expect a team that will try to go for the kill from the start of the game and avoid any pressure. Realistically, they should be able to overwhelm their opponents and do just that. They are, after all, the best attacking side in European football. Apart from the defeat to the Brazilians, PSG had accumulated a six-game winning streak, scoring 21 times and conceding just twice. It will be hard to imagine them not scoring like that against Inter Miami.

Inter Miami

Inter Miami were just ten minutes away from facing Botafogo in the knockout stages, but Palmeiras played the spoiler. Inter Miami were up 2-0 until the 80th minute but conceded twice and are now set to face Paris Saint-Germain.

It stands to reason that their run in this tournament is coming to an end. It’s hard to imagine the American side overcoming what appears to be the best team in the world at the moment.

With the way Javier Mascherano’s team has been defending, keeping a clean sheet would take nothing short of a miracle. In their last 8 games between the MLS and the FCWC, they have conceded a whopping 15 goals. Lionel Messi has indeed been spectacular, but it’s hard to imagine him knocking PSG out all by himself.

For Inter Miami to have a shot, they’ll need contributions from across the board and a great bit of luck.
