Betting Tip PSG - Atletico Madrid

PSG finished the season firing on all cylinders, but it remains to be seen how the break between then and now has affected the players, alongside the hangover effects of winning the Champions League.

Atletico is a team that can cause a lot of trouble, and they can score rather easily. Therefore, we expect both teams to find the net, making BTTS our pick.

PSG

Paris Saint-Germain finished the 2024-2025 season in perfect form, winning the Champions League and completing the historic treble. Luis Enrique’s team were crowned French champions with relatively little resistance from any other teams, finishing 19 points over second-place Marseille.

At an earlier stage, they won the Coupe de France, defeating Stade Reims 3-0 in the final. On May 31, they finally added what was missing from their trophy case, the much-desired Champions League.

The Parisian side turned the Champions League final in Munich against Inter into a one-sided affair. PSG put in an absolutely perfect performance, and they burst out of the gates with early goals that put the game out of reach, before the French side added more for the final 5-0 score.

Desire Doue was the big star of the game, scoring twice and assisting once. This dominant performance was the final one of the season for PSG, but there is little time for rest. The French side is preparing for the Club World Cup, where they qualified as the second-best 4-year team in UEFA’s standings, and they want to win it.

Atletico Madrid

Atletico finished yet another season without adding a new trophy to their collection. In the domestic league, they were disappointingly out of contention early on and lagged behind the top two teams, finishing in third place, while Barcelona won the league and their arch-rivals, Real Madrid, finished second.

Still, they achieved their basic objective of qualifying for the League Phase of the 2025-2026 Champions League campaign.

Still, Atletico were able to put in several very impressive performances near the end of the league, and managed to finish off the season on a high note, scoring plenty of goals. They were able to secure dominant wins against Real Betis (4-1) and Girona (4-0).

The Spaniards are now directing their attention to the Club World Cup, after qualifying for it as the 6th-best team in UEFA’s four-year ranking. The Rojiblancos are aiming for a deep run in this competition, while also managing their transfer market activity for next season.
