Betting Tip Bayern Munich - Boca Juniors

Obviously, Bayern have the upper hand in this one, and the quality discrepancy between the two is both obvious and significant. Boca, however, are highly motivated to give it their best shot. If they manage to get the game to their tempo, they might have a real shot at getting something out of this game while keeping the score low. Our pick is under 4.0 goals (Asian handicap).

Bayern Munich

It’s a known fact that Bayern Munich play aggressively against any opponent. Facing a semi-professional team like Auckland City, Bayern were not quite merciful. They scored 10 goals and only then decided that enough was enough, stopping the battering of the New Zealanders. The score was up to 6-0 by the halfway point, and that was about as expected. The Bundesliga rookie of the season, Michael Olise, was a standout, scoring twice and assisting twice.

This upcoming game will be significantly more challenging for Vincent Kompany’s team. While they will still be the favourite against Boca Juniors, no one is expecting a final result along the lines of that in the premiere. Still, Bayern are talented enough to drive virtually any opponent to desperation. They need to be mindful of the Argentinians’ aggressiveness and toughness, as that can knock them out of rhythm. That has been the case in the past for Bayern against that style of opposition.

Boca Juniors

The match against Benfica was dramatic. The final score was a 2-2 draw. There were plenty of opportunities for both sides, as well as two red cards, one for each. Figal was the one who was sent off for Boca Juniors. The Argentinians have set the tone for the rest of the tournament with their level of intensity, emblematic of Latin American football - tough challenges and passion.

While they will certainly enter the game against Bayern as the underdog, no one should be expecting them to just fold over and lose. The past season was not a successful one for the Argentinians, and the early disqualification from the CONMEBOL Libertadores brought a lot of nervousness around the club. Getting knocked out of the domestic league quarter finals by Independiente was the straw that broke the camel’s back for the fans, who were irate.

As a result, manager Fernando Gago was removed from the team, and Miguel Angel Russo took charge. This competition is an excellent opportunity for the new manager to show that his team is ready for the Clausura and bring back joy to the fans. It is, therefore, imperative for Boca to put up good performances, and doing so against Bayern would be massive.
