Djurgarden
Made a very memorable move past Rapid Wien in the quarter finals, despite a 0-1 home defeat. The Swedish team didn’t let this go to their heads and defeated Rapid 1-4, especially once Rapid went down to 10 men.
Djurgarden took the lead with a penalty kick, but Rapid retaliated just 6 minutes later during the first half stoppage time. The second half started strong for the Austrians. They had the initiative and, unfortunately, a huge missed opportunity by Seidl (66’) that Djurgarden managed to punish thanks to Kosugi and send the game into extra time.
Gullksen scored twice then (93’ and 104’), leading the team to victory and the 6th win in the competition. Swedes are a high-scoring team, with five Over 2.5 games and 6 games with BTTS.
Chelsea
Chelsea isn’t in any real trouble in the Conference League, suffering just one defeat so far. Starting strong after a 3-0 first leg game, they went into a tied second leg. Enzo Maresca did not rotate his squad in that game but still fell behind early. Goalkeeper Jorgensen brought down Pekhart, and the latter converted the penalty. Cucurella equalised in 33’ and scored once more ten minutes later, but from an offside position.
Legia scored once more in the second half, and, while Chelsea struggled to come up with an equaliser in the second half (including a huge double chance with Madueke and George), they did not manage to do so. First defeat in the competition for Maresca’s side, but they remain the overwhelming favourite to win it. They are looking to get back to a European final for the first time since 2021.
Chelsea is, by far, the best attacking team in the competition with 33 goals. They’re also the best defensive team, conceding just 8 goals. Although not as consistent as they could be, they have pretty much secured their spot in next year’s Champions League.
