Back in those years when casinos started appearing online, Playtech games were probably the earliest to be available online. That was about 19 years ago, or so. If you're looking for Dead or Alive at that time, you're more than 10 years too early, or probably too young to gamble anyway! What about me? Oh gees, I'm always at the same age! Hahaha. Hmm, that aside, Playtech was my teacher, my school and my university. Without Playtech, I wouldn't be as I am now. In those days, this oldie Diamond Valley was one of my favourite games. Yes, this game is that old! Hahaha.

Before this game was made into a progressive jackpot game, the minimum starting bet was only $0.05. That's $0.01 per line bet. How many paylines was that? Oh gees, I don't have my calculator here with me now, but I guess all of you are clever enough to figure it out mentally, yes, no? Hehehe. I used to play Diamond Valley lots of times, at bet sizes from $0.05 to $0.50 per spin. It was one of the cheapest game to play on, with only 5 paylines. What? You got that right? I told you you are clever, didn't I? Hehehe. Another 5 liner game that I loved at that time was Golden Tour, but that's a different story. Nothing to do with Diamond Valley.

For a 5 payline game, the paytable was simple but exciting, and still is. There are no Wild symbols at all, probably because these games haven't gone wild by then yet, but 5 scatters, the hand, pay the usual 200x the total bet. 3 hands or more on any payline activate a Bonus round, where you pick a diamond to win a cash reward. Not a lot, but still money. Any free spins game? In those days, free spins feature games were only for games with 9 paylines or more. None for 5 liners. The highest paying symbol is the crystal. Get 5 of them on paylines 1, 2, 3 and 4 and win 5000x the line bet. Get 5 of them on payline 5 and you'll go crazy. Why? Because you've just won the Progressive Jackpot! Does that sound easy to you? It sure does, but it's blardy damn difficult to get them, I can tell you that! For me, yes, I've got those 5 crystals on payline 5 once or twice before, but without the jackpot, so it was slightly easier to get then.

Not long after, well, after some years, I mean, the Pro version of Diamond Valley was released, aptly named Diamond Valley Pro, with 20 paylines, Wilds, Scatters, free spins game and whatnots. I love this game too, but the original I do too. Now, with a Progressive Jackpot prize, the minimum bet is $1.00 per line, and that is way too high for me to carry on playing Diamond Valley, so I have turned to the Pro version instead. Maybe another day another time, I'll tell you the story, hehehe.
