Once upon a time, some centuries ago, there was a Spanish explorer who went searching for some hidden treasure - don’t really know if he found the treasure or not, but he was Gonzo. Many generations later, one girl opened a shop and named it ‘Magic Maid Café’. The thing is, this Magic Maid Café is very similar to Gonzo’s quest for the hidden treasure, so perhaps she shares the same bloodline as Gonzo? Anyway, what I’m really trying to say here is that this Magic Maid Café game is actually a clone of Gonzo’s Quest game, hehehe.
Don’t knows the girl’s name, but that’s not really important, I guess. What? Gonzy you say? Hmm, whatever, hahaha. The thing is, this cute little Gonzy-or-not girl doesn’t look anything like Gonzo at all! She’s beautiful and cute, looking more like the Japanese Koi Princess instead. Makes me wonder if Gonzo had landed in Japan back in those days and created a new bloodline there, hahaha.
How you played Gonzo’s game is how you should also play this Magic Maid Café game. Everything in the two games are almost identical – with a Wild transforming symbol, with a free spins feature game triggering symbol, and with cascading wins with increasing multipliers too. I don’t really need to elaborate much more on the game’s traits, or on its very good winning chances, because almost every one of us have probably played Gonzo’s Quest before. Playing Magic Maid Café may just be Déjà vu for you too.
Nonetheless, I find that Magic Maid Café’s presentation is much less striking than Gonzo’s Quest. The overall hues are rather subdued in its pastel colors, which aren’t vibrant enough, well, to me at least. I also cannot appreciate the dull-looking Wild and Scatter symbols – these two symbols are the most important ones in any game, so they should really stand out distinctively from all other regular symbols, not blended in like how it looks now.
Other than that, playing the game was as exciting nonetheless, and the Free Falls (free spins) feature games tend to play and pay very similarly as in Gonzo’s Quest too. But honestly speaking, playing with cakes and pastries just isn’t for me, it’s too girlish if I may say so, so perhaps this Magic Maid Café game has been created more for the lady gamers, especially for those ladies who crave for equality, like in ‘if Gonzo can do it, so can I’. Hehehe.
