Xcalibur is I believe a very popular video slot from Microgaming software. It is a 5 reels and 50 pay lines game. I have not played this game a lot. I tried it once when I was losing all my money in 32 Red Casino. I had only 10 euros left on my balance and I thought I would play whatever game I come across. I got 12 free spins as soon as I started playing and I won only 18.50 which was nothing considering the fact that I was playing with 1 euro bet.

My session was longer than I expected, I thought I will lose all my money in 10 or 15 spins. There are some good payouts during the base game and I did not lose any money. I have finally triggered the bonus and there are 8 doors and you have to pick doors until you find the one that says ‘collect’. I got only 15 euros in this bonus because the third door was hiding the word collect.

I thought that the graphics and the sound effects are not that good, I personally did not like it and I thought that they were not a good addition to the slot. Another thing that I did not like when it comes to this video slot is that the bonus is triggered with the key symbol on the second, third and fourth reel which makes it even more difficult to do so. Sometimes you need to spend a long time before you trigger the bonus. I usually play this kind of games when I have more than 30 euros on my balance, but I guess I was really lucky this time. I did not make any big wins on this slot, but I did manage to get a decent amount for the time that I have spent on this game. I would probably have to try it again because I do believe that this game has the potential to pay well.

I like that there is stacked wilds which appear on reels 1 3 5. Of course I could be more happy to see wilds also on 2 and 4 reels, but we have what we have.

I like bonus game in this slot. It is triggered when key bonus symbols appear on reels 2 3 4. You then have doors on next screen and could pick it. Prizes not big, and also there is collect door which end feature. Once I won 50 bets in this bonus game which was good result. But I could not say that it is too easy to trigger it.

I like freespins. 3 or more scatters anywhere on reels award 12 freespins with all wins doubled. It is nothing special but i think such feature is suits this game very good.

In normal play I never got good wins, most wins are low, and best combos I get when landed dragon symbols and wilds. But payouts was about 20-30 bets so not so interesting. Bonus game almost all time paid low, but once I won 50 bets, this is good. I had freespins feature with all wins doubled probably 4-5 times, but never won more than 100 bets, this is not great at ll. I could rate this game with 8 stars.

Rating of this game could be even more higher, but I did not like payouts. Too low to my taste, and it is looks like it is very hard task to get here win more than 100 bets.

Base game here is luckily not boring at all. Unfortunately wilds appear here not on all reels. Only on reels 1, 3, 5. But it is stacked wilds, so at least this is good. No any multiplier for wilds - another minus for this slot. Payouts for most symbols not very good, and it is probably not even possible to hit monster win on this slot, but I think something like 100-300 x total bet is quite possible.

There are two features, and I am not very like both. First one it is freespins, you need 3 or more scatters to start it. You will be awarded with 12 freespins, at x 2 multiplier. Freespins cannot be retriggered, well, like I said, I can't say that I like it. Best result for me was about 50 x total bet, and I have more than 10 FS features, I think you agree - not something which we can call huge.

Another feature is bonus game. Bonus symbols on 2, 3, 4 reels - and you can pick doors. Each door award random prize from 1x total bet to 10x total bet. Have couple of 40-50x total bet in this feature, and never higher. Usually it is just 10-15 x total bet. So yes, also not very nice.

I will try to rate this slot now, I was a little bit disappointed because of the minimum bet that is 0.50 euro but I think that it deserves to play with this bet because you will win more! The graphics aren’t very good but the theme and the design of the characters are, so I will give a 9 for this! I was getting wilds almost every spin and won in total over €37. Max i ever won on this feature was over €60 on a €1 bet. even though there are 50 lines i never play them. i stick to 20 lines with 5 coins to make it a €1. The wins are really big on this bet and wilds come out more. because most games that i play are 20 lines it actually suits me perfect.

There is also a bonus feature and you need to get three keys on the 2,3 and 4 reels. This is a pick bonus so you pick until you find collect symbol. Max i ever won on this game was around €12. Xcalibur is a really large 50 paylines and is a Microgaming video slot. I haven't put too much effort in this video slot but I do know enough to tell you what I have seen! There have been duplicated symbols on all the reels which I only find to be of help when they make combinations with each other but what I have been doing is betting $2.50 thinking I've already set up my bets so I didn't notice it. I later used $0.50 bets to conserve my bets after I realized my bets were flushing down! Such a fail on my part!

The only thing I've seen in my spins were 12 Free spins at 2x for 3 Merlin/wizard symbols. It's too bad these free spins can't retrigger themselves! A small total win of $13.30 was small but decent. I was happy to take them! The other bonus that involved key symbols didn't appear to me so I am curious to know what would happen if I collected symbols to trigger that bonus. The best to expect for Xcalibur would be to see these stacked wild swords....at first to me it looked like a lightsaber upon first sight but it is really indeed a very nice addition to this video slot. In this video slot, sure, the 50 paylines are super great but what knocked it down a few notches would be the replicated symbols on the reels. There were 2 Dragon symbols in one reel and two shields in the next preventing me from gaining some good winnings.

The same goes for the other symbols except for the Wild Excaliburs, the key symbols and the Wizard scatters....assuming that has to be Merlin for this slot! 12 Free spins at 2x were the suckiest free spins I have played......I didn't get a lot out of them and they can't hit for another set of free spins inside! As if the small multiplier wasn't crap enough it had to get worst with the guaranteed possibility of NOT retriggering!
