When you see a Papa bear, a Mama Bear, and a Baby Bear, what comes to your mind first? For me, it reminds me of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears - both the fairytale and the game. However, none suits my taste, either in the story, or in the game itself. In this Sugar Trail game, there isn't any bowls of soup, and there isn't any forest-wandering little girl either. Instead, the bears here are only concerned with their sugary candies and whatnots.

From the very start, I have already disliked the 40-paylines and the 0.40 minimum starting bet per spin! For just 0.30 bet per spin, I could be enjoying myself on a 243-ways-to-win game elsewhere, so why should I even bother playing this game, right? Yeah, all for the sake of one winning screenshot, that's all, and nothing more. I wouldn't mind it so much if it plays with 0.20 starting bet, as in another of Quickspin's game, but that cannot be changed now.

Basically, yet again - and I'm already getting really tired of my repetitions - the paytable and the win values of this Quickspin game really sucks! The Wild symbols pay 12.5x the total bet for getting 5 of them, and the rest pay from 3.12x down to 1.25x the total bet for getting any 5 of them. Not the rock-bottom kind of values, but close enough. There are no Scatter or Bonus symbols in the game, but each of the three Bear symbol acts as a trigger for their own feature games.

3 Papa Bear symbols award the Wild Candy feature, offering 1 Respin with Random Sticky Wilds, with 1 more Respin with each appearing Sticky Wild symbol. 3 Mama Bear symbols award the Sugar Lock Respins feature, offering 6 or more Sticky Wilds randomly placed onto the reels. 3 Baby Bear symbols award the Sugar Cash Bonus feature, awarding random coins and multipliers of 1x up to 5x. Which of the three pays better? Well, I would say none! All three are about the same - giving very low and very poor payouts each and every time!

Playing this Sugar Trail game really got to my nerves each and every time I had played it! Why? Simply because I couldn't even get one lousy 50x bet win from it! The best that I could get, after playing on more than 5 separate occasions, was only a 48x bet win, as can be seen in the attached screenshot. Sugar lock re-spins – this feature is triggered when 3 green bears appear on reels 2, 3 and 4. You will then spin the reels to determine your starting position. Wilds are locked on the reels and remain in place for the duration of the feature and you can earn extra free spins with the +1 symbol.

Sugar Cash Bonus – this is triggered when the blue bear appear on reels 3, 4 and 5. This is a mini game where you spin the reels and you are awarded with cash and a multiplier. This feature does not enable any free spins.

I had once huge win on this game with the Wild Candy free spins, had 10 free spins and about 5 wilds on the screen floating, and with the spin additional wilds landed on the reels. It was a $0.80 bet, but the win was still very decent. Overall I think this is a great game, but for me the base game does not pay that well and payouts on symbols are a bit low though.

I think this cash bonus appears quite often, I got it every time after I made a few spins. Here you get cash prize – my best winning from it was around x12 bet which is really small. Most of the time the prize was between x5 to x10 bet.

I think this game could be fun sometimes, but I do not like it because I got only small winnings. I never got any win over x20 bet, the payouts should be much better. I will rate it with 5 out of 10 possible stars.

While I was playing it I just hate big win screen after I got x12 bet from sugar cash bonus. It is really weird, big win screen animations for x12 bet?!!
