I simply love this new slot form Play n Go when its in the mood and seems like an interesting game. I love the hype, it gives me when the hopes are high to trigger the free spins feature. Super highly volatile to be honest but I love it. Even though I am losing I still love it. The game features a few base game features, a free spins feature with great options to choose from and some decent base game hits are achievable, which is something I like.

The Divine Showdown slot game has a godly theme. I think would think the theme is close to the Norse theme Asgard, as you would see Thor but then again, the other characters are not part of them, like Loki for instance. It comes with the Norse god of thunder (Thor), the Chinese monkey king (Wukong), the Greek goddess of wisdom and war (Athena) and the Egyptian god of death (Anubis).

Visually, Divine Showdown is excellent as you’d expect from a Play ‘N Go slot and graphics is something you will notice first time around. You have the god's symbols with royals. The Thor symbol is the most valuable of the gods with 3, 4 or 5 in combination rewarding you with 2, 8 or 16 times your bet respectively.

The mighty sword symbol is the wild and substitutes for all symbols. It can appear stacked during 1 of the bonus features. If you land 3, 4 or 5 wilds will give you 2.5, 10 or 20 times your stake.

Divine Showdown also comes with a Power Spin feature. The gods can summon a Power Spin randomly to reward you with a free re-spin. On this re-spin, 1 of the gods will use their power to help you achieve greater riches. Here’s the unique power each god possesses:

• Wukong – he adds wild reels to the reel set
• Anubis – 1 or 2 symbols transform into wilds
• Athena – 3 reels are synchronised to display the same symbol
• Thor – all high value symbols transform into the highest value Thor symbol for bigger wins

The free spins are triggered when 3 scatters (represented by all 4 gods’ symbols) simultaneously in the base game. You then choose 1 of the gods to represent you in battle. The chosen god will then appear to the left-hand side of the reel set with the battle reel spinning.

Free spins can award multipliers whenever a god wins a battle and performs it action, here are you chance for huge wins.

I always walked away with profits from this slot and will always try to build my balance here. Although you do not see scatters often it means you cannot trigger the free spins easily. I simply love the slot and you should try it and see for yourself. For once not a boring game at all and I like watching the reels.

Dive Showdown is one of the latest games from Play'n Go and I tried it a few days after it was released. I was quite intrigued by the concept of it when it comes to bonus round and therefore was looking forward to have a session with it. 

The game is inspired by ancient hero theme and has 5 reels and 20 paylines. To be honest, after my first session with this game, I was extremely frustrated and told myself to never play it again. I had a 60eur balance and was playing it with minimum bets of 0.20 cents. Not once I managed to get a bonus round or any decent win, my balance was gone in less than half an hour and my biggest win was 40x bet on base game. I did see a few other players getting good wins on it on bonus round so I told myself to try it a few more times until I get to experience the bonus myself. 

To be fair, the bonus is a big hit or a miss and it's definitely quite volatile so therefore you can either end up with a 10x bet win or a decent win. When you get 3 bonus symbols, you get to pick your hero that will have to fight the other characters. If you lose, the spin will be with the winning character feature. My favorite from them it the Thor feature that changes all the other main symbols into Thor and that's why I had a win of over 100x bet. You get 3 lives so if you're unlucky you can get as little as 3 free spins but if you win a fight, you get save your life and get to spin more. It's also possible to get a replay spin where you get the same feature you had before. Any of these can also appear on base game randomly so in my experience it's pretty much the only time you can get a big win on base game. 

Overall this is a game I try to stay away from. In several of my sessions I had to play hundreds of spins to get one mediocre free spins bonus and only a few times I had a win over 100x bet. In retrospect, I've lost on this game more than won and big wins on base game are hard to get. I do love the design and it's worth trying but I recommend to be keep a careful eye on your balance as it seems to be quite volatile slot.
