Burglin Bob

I don't really know if this Burglin Bob game is a relatively new game or a relatively old game, because I have never come across it before at any Microgaming casinos. I came across it at YoyoCasino whilst browsing through the various Microgaming games, so I decided to give it a try. It's a 30-paylines game with Bob, the burglar, as the main character, reminding me of another similar game, Cops And Bandits, but there aren't any cops in this game, so this Burglin Bob will never be caught by any cop.

There are quite a number of Bonus games in Burglin Bob, each triggerable by its own Bonus symbols, but the usual Free Spins game is also available. Thank god for that! I don't mind the Bonus games, I can even do without them, but I simply cannot do without Free Spins games, and I won't even play any game that doesn't have free spins! Anyway, getting 3 Alarm Bells on reels 2, 3 and 4 awards the Free Spins game - pick one of the Alarm Bells to reveal the number of free spins. Up to 60 free spins can be won, with all wins doubled, and more free spins can be won with retriggers.

There are 3 different Bonus games available - the Safe Bonus game, whereby you pick one Safe to win a cash prize of up to 2000x the line bet, the Escape Bonus game, whereby you pick items to get 3 same cash prizes to win that amount, and the Smash 'N Grab Bonus game if you picked 3 Burglin Bobs instead. In this last bonus game, you get to pick 4 or more Shops to win cash prizes of up to 100x the total bet amount, so I prefer this bonus game over the other 2.

Sadly to say, the paytable could be better and has much to be desired. That's because the Wild symbol is a non-paying symbol, the Alarm Bell Scatter symbol is also another non-paying symbol, and worse still, even the 2 different Bonus symbols are also non-paying! What the argh! 'Jackpot' is the highest paying symbol in this game, paying a marvelous 30,000x the line bet for getting all 5 of them. Even getting 3 symbols would pay 50x, but they aren't easy to get at all. In that rather long session that I played, I couldn't even get 2 of those Jackpot symbols on a payline! Bob is the next highest paying symbol with a 4000x line bet value, but the others pay from 1000x down to 50x the line bet. Nonetheless, I would still rate the paytable as just an average one.

I quite enjoyed my first ever play on Burglin Bob, but the paytable disappointed me, and the free spins too were very disappointing, managing to give only low to mediocre wins. The Safe and the Escape Bonus games were low paying, but the Smash 'N Grab Bonus game did give some decent wins of above 40x. My best win was 81x, still not a lot, so that's why I am still not that satisfied with this game.

Burglin Bob is a great game coming from Microgaming, but when I played it I was out of luck. Every time I had to make a choice I was choosing the wrong thing. I guess I am not good with robbing shops and opening safes. I definitely have to try this slot when I feel extremely lucky. This is a 5 reel 30 pay lines slot with some great graphics and animations.

When you trigger the free spins you have to choose one free spins symbol and I chose the one on the second reel and it gave me only 10 free spins and the one in the third reel was hiding 55 free spins. But for what is worth I triggered the safe bonus during the free spins and now I had to choose one safe symbol and again I chose the one that was hiding the lowest amount of only 4.80 . All the wins during the free spins are multiplied by 2 and all I got was about 14 euros.

There is another interesting bonus here called the Escape bonus. After you land 3 manholes on the first, third and fifth reel you trigger the bonus. Then you need to pick from the icons and when you open 3 matching amounts that is your prize. I truly believe that this bonus does not happen that often. I had a very short session, but if you play longer than me maybe you will trigger it more often.

My balance was going down rapidly. There were no good payouts during the base game and I did not want to risk the money that I had on my balance to chase the free spins and bonus rounds. So I decided to quit and try to find some other game that will boost my balance. But I have to play this game again, because it has a lot to offer and it is very entertaining at the same time.
