Hiya , im just asking for a bit of advice , i am registered with GAMSTOP , however while under this i joined the casino site stupid i know . Once joining i noticed i did put my first name wrong due to autocorrect on my mobile , i did however contact live chat and state this was the case and they said they would change this no problem in the mean time I deposited a large amount of money around £6000 without verification being a issue. Only until i tried to withdraw a small amount back they asked for verification i sent in my driving license , a picture of me holding my license , utility letter and picture of bank card with my name on which i was using to deposit. Unfortunately i did lose all the withdrawal i requested after reversing this then depositing again a large amount of money. I was then mid way through a bonus game with around 170 won and the site blocked me and said i need to verifiy again i explained my situation and livechat said thats fine and send the docuements again which i did however i still never recieved a reply. I did this again and again sending my docuements around 6 times and talking to live chat daily for the past 3/4weeks and still no reply or response. I also just discovered i opened an account previously a few years ago and reading their terms and condition it states no multiple accounts from the same address which both accounts are My question is would there be a reasonable case of getting a refund of my deposits or at least some deposited after sending my ID into the casino? Even if my first name was different it still had my address , mobile number and date of birth plus all my verification documents sent ,plus me asking the livechat to change my name stating my actual name ? What are peoples views on this ?

You need to check the terms of Gamstop. They’re quite peculiar in that, in attempting to join another casino, you’re in breach of them. A problem gamblers trying to login to a casino? Well, I never.

I think, under GS, they look at name, email, DOB, address and possibly one more. If it’s a 4/5 match or 3/4 it flags.

Im not going to get into the semantics of if you knew you had multiple accounts/trying to circumvent because, despite my personal views, I think it’s irrelevant (not having a go at you but I find it odd how people forget they opened accounts at places).

It sounds like the Leo Vegas Group, per chance?. If it is you have a high chance of something - mainly due to the fact LV have serious issues with their self exclusion atm.

Your issue may be accusations of giving a different name but if they rest is correct and it was only a typo then it still should have been picked up: or at least put on review.

Re GS - if the casino didn’t receive a negative response back from GS then they have done nothing wrong. Then your issue is with GS but the name mistake may cause a problem as well as their terms. Best way is to request a Subject Access Request to see what information was shared; it covers automated decision making.

I doubt the multiple account thing helps you; best persue from the RG being allowed to open an account. However... they fact they didn’t pick up on a second account, all registration details being equal, may serve in your favour as that’s beyond poor.

Sorry, typing on a mobile and on a emergency trip home, so brains only at 75 percent ?

Thanks for the reply , maybe i might not have a case as i used a new email aswell so i will have to look at the gamstop terms and conditions. It was the site sloty. I did tell the casino in live chat that my details were incorrect and they said they would change these and still allowed me to deposit 1000s after this conversation. It was only until i tried to withdraw they blocked me account. There not very fast on responses and ive been waiting for around 3 weeks for a response ?‍♀️

Ah, Genesis Group: another poor one IMO; sounded like LV who’ve been having issues after taking on the old IPS group.

Probably not then; the casino won’t have received anything back from Gamstop saying you’re on the blacklist, so to speak.

GS is still finding its feet atm and there are many ways to get round it.

re verification: changes are coming surrounding verification. We have a few MPs on the news stating that, in a recent case, it was ridiculous that it was only happening  at withdrawal and not before a penny was deposited.

Probably best to move on and make the money back by not playing anymore; there are better things to be doing ?

Yeah i did recieve a reply stating i should not be recieving a refund and my account blocked which had money in surely thats not right? I have also been reading there terms and conditions about multiple account it states only one account per address and trasatitions would be made void on the other account would this mean my 6000 pound deposits should have been voided and me not allowed to join in the first place. I know its a long shot but i did tell them repeatedly about the mistake in name when registering but they continued to let me deposit. I wonder how different it would be if i won? They would be happy to give the deposits n void the winnings then i bet.

Thanks for you reply ?

Yeah, if your details were the same it’s extremely poor: no doubt, had you won they would have confiscated ( always odd that casinos have all these detailed systems, yet struggle to pick out duplicate accounts): but that’s just conjecture

Would do no harm to submit a SAR anyhow; it’s free now . Just to see what the response from GS was.

Personally, I wouldn’t waste the effort on it: if you SE and were allowed to gamble on one of their sister sites for example, you’d have a very strong chance: this? Not so much.
