Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Id like to ask you guys as i have an unfortunate turn of events. I banned myself from a major uk reputable betting site last year i believed it to be. However recently i deposited again but used my dads details however with all my banking details. My dad was aware and basically said wasn't a problem however i wasn't using his card deposits where made with my own bank. i have made about 10 deposits over a period of three months. Yesterday to my amazement I won a large sum of money. I was over joyed I couldn't believe it as i had never won money like this before. However upon withdrawal i was contacted by the company to say my account would be on hold till I provide evidence id and bank statements and such which is where my problem now lies I now cannot provide bank statements as they are deposits made from my account which is what they want to see. I informed my father who emailed them and informed them that is is his account however a deposit was made using my card as where all deposits over a period of time. I know I should of made my own account with another company I'm just sick because I told my partner I won this money and friends as I was excited and now I feel like this will be taken from me however the company hasnt confirmed this but this is what I speculate. Thanks for your time.

Hi there and welcome to Askgamblers

There's a big chance the casino won't pay the winnings because you have breached the terms. All casinos have the same terms regarding payments and personal informations. It is not allowed to use someone else's bank account. If you are lucky, they might refund all deposits you made but it depends on their decision. May I ask what your winning was?

Yep, Leo has pretty much covered the answer for you. You should only ever use your own card details, your own bank, under your own account. It is usually against casino terms to deposit using any third party details that are different to the ones registered.

So are the casino are fully aware now of the situation? I very much doubt you'll get your winnings and as Leo said they may just return the deposits. However, you really need to have a good chat to the casinos customer support. Do they have live chat?

Sadly, if they have the proof that you breached their T & C you will not able to cash it out. The first thing that you must do is contact their customer support 'bout what happen and explain everything if this was a case of an accident or another. Sometimes there's a reconciliation between player and casino if the problem was talked properly and I hope that for you too mate.

Ahh really sorry to hear that pal. I don't really have anything useful to add to this as your answer has been pretty much covered above - always use your own details and at least have a teensy-weensy glance at the terms and conditions BEFORE you give any of your money to anyone, EVER!

Ah, T's & C's. The writings on the wall and both blessing and curse! I read these forums as well as others almost every single day and it still astounds me that so many people seem more than happy to give away thousands of pounds of their hard-earned money to companies without having any real idea of the full terms of play, or assuming the terms and conditions are the same for every casino they play at. It's even more mind-boggling that so many of the people guilty of this would be considered seasoned gamblers with years of experience and skill under their belts.

I'm sorry that I don't have anything useful to add to this discussion, like our friends above have already said, you may have to let this one go and chalk it up to experience, if this is the case than the best thing you can do for yourself is learn from the experience.

All the best pal.

Well what you basically did was gave money away to the casino without the slightest chance of ever seeing any money back. If you're gonna use another account to play from at least try to do it right. Different details, different deposit/withdrawal method, IP and computer. You'll never see any of those winnings because you broke their T&C,
