Big help CC withdrawal

Recommended Posts

Hello everybody,

Since about 2 weeks I use my MasterCard to play online.
Today I got lucky and put in a withdrawal for €600. It was accepted and shown immediately in my CC account. However it states -€600 on my creditcard account instead of +€600.
Does this mean that the online casino actually took €600 instead of paying out?

Sorry, very new to this and can’t find much on the internet about this. Any help would be much appreciated.

It’s a credit card so any plus on it is an amount added to your bill

Minus means instead of owing 1000 you now owe 400 (the -600), so that’s right

Only on a debit card if it showed a minus should you worry 😉

Correct! As above. On my Credit Card any payments I make off my balance will show as a minus.  So, for example if I made a £60 payment off my balance it would reflect as -£60 on my statement. If I had deposited at the casino using the CC and the same amount it would reflect on my statement as £60 (no plus or minus, just the amount). Also credits to the account are usually highlighted in green in my experience.

I hope that helps.

Used to be the case that if you went in 'credit' on your CC you could simply use the card until you hit 0 again but that stopped. I went 2k in credit after a win 2 years ago and they block the card - if you phone them up they'll do a BAC's payment to your bank.

Yeah I wondered how it worked with withdrawals to a CC. I actually didn't even think you could have a withdrawal to a MasterCard CC. Bit of a blow really winning say £500 and it just gets taken of the CC balance.
