What's The Biggest Mistake You Made Gambling Online?

Recommended Posts

@Cassaon it is good to hear that if you are  disciplined you end up winning.

I like Gonzos Quest but believe me, no matter how many spins a had, no matter my bet size, I was never lucky while playing that game.

I had minor wins and that's all and I think it is all matter of Lady Luck and her presence at the right moment and that should be the moment when we are playing.

Hmm, a fresh example from last night....

Deposited $111 at BetAT, had some good wins with Big Bang, then went to Wild Turkey going up and up all the time all the way up to $440 balance /all withdrawable cause no bonus was used/ and then....my old friend Lady Greed paid me a visit and it all ended up catastrophically. Because of the greed I finished my session with a net loss of $111 instead of $330+ profit. :(

And yeah, I believe this is the biggest and most often mistakes made by online punters.... Unfortunately... :(

That sucks friend!

Yes, this is typical. When you winning, you always think that this streak will continue, you will not lose, etc...But often this end with zero and a thought 'why i am so idiot?'

Sorry to hear this Valdes and I think you are right.

Its what it is, unfortunately.

Someone would be happy with 330 but you wanted more of course..

No need to sorry Awena dear, that was a completely deliberate action with a single goal - to win more! ;)

Yeah, personally I am trying to squeeze all possible from such winning streak all the time... Most often ending up with a big fat zero in my balance, but when it works.... Man, it worth all the troubles and failed previous attempts! :D

Indeed, but wise people are learning from other people's mistakes while we learn from our own mistakes. :(

Anyways, I guess what's most important is to draw some serious conclusions after these mistakes and never ever to let them happen again.

Agreed!  ^_^

It also depends at which online casinos you're playing. I play Gonzo's Quest at Leo Vegas and CasinoLuck. On the contrary I've had quite a bit of luck with Gonzo's Quest over the years, my biggest win was Euros375. The moment I hit a big win on this game I leave and play another one otherwise I end up playing every dime I've won back.

Sometimes it takes an ironwill not to make an extra deposit when you're up. I find myself to be a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde at times when I gamble. Mr Hyde is sensible, the pre-gamble me. In other words I have a set strategy I follow. But, the moment those reels starts spinning Dr Jekyll takes over.

That's why I set my alarm so that it goes off at 10 minute intervals, just to bring me back to reality again. The audio of the slots can be hypnotic too especially if you play long sessions.

I also find that in some of the slots I've played that they pay out rather quickly. After the first decent payout there's a lot of dry spins and smaller wins in between.

I dont agree with you.Talking for Gonzo Quest ,i had many times winnings right after each other,or free spins ,but i guess there is signs which you can recognize,if the game will give you another big hit or not.

That's why I always make a line where should I stop, if I notice my luck is not strong anymore. In your case, I'd tell myself - Ok, let's try until $400.

In my case, it's usually some round number being a border.

But when I have bonus to turnover, there's no help :D I use my balance round number to be a sign for the game switch moments!

Dear Lu, what makes you think I don't start my sessions with a stop mark? :p

The difficult part comes when you hit big right after the first 5-10 minutes, but the urge to play and win more and more and more is still inside you. Then it's way more complicated, I can assure you about that. Not even mentioning how hard is to stick to a stop mark of let's say 100 or 200 profit in case you hit last month 10000. ;)

As soon as you start playing on a regular basis, I'm pretty sure you will realize how different it all becomes with time...

The worst scenario in my opinion when it comes to gambling is when you win decent amount and then you lose it all and more.

I began my gambling spree in late 2013 and had immense love for roulette. Mostly all the games were played online with a few visits to a real casino. My gambling habit had the better of me and I faced immense credit too. Now I stick to regular lottery or maybe raffle online via bb lottosignals and spend no more than $5 a week.

I still gamble but the spree has reduced a lot.

I think you have already mentioned lottosignals more than enough, across all possible forum sections. Now, would you please stop repeating this website again and again? Please....

  • 2 months later...

Me to, certain casino had my wd "pending" fore 2 weeks.. claiming they where switching payment prosessor. So i could not cash out via banktransfer.. But conveniently my win was avalible for me to play.

End of the story was i reversed and lost 10 000 USD... This was about 3 years ago, and i have never since reversed big amounts, lesson learned to say the least. If i win big amounts like this and casino wont flush, i take a cooling of exclusion until they pay, or tell support this, then they usually pay straight away.

Damn bro! That's a serious amount of money. Glad you learned your lesson though, I hate it when casinos kind of hold you "hostage". Therefore, I always pick casinos with a quick payout record.

Regarding my biggest mistakes in gambling, lol, there are too many haha

I messed up 3K after a 100 euro deposit in April I believe. Luckily few weeks later April/May was a top month or I would still be mad about it :p

I've only ever once blown away 4k after winning 5k on multiplayer Avalon, never in my entire life will I do it again! I certainly learned from that mistake!

Lately my biggest mistake is playing Mega Moolah for that jackpot because its seriously draining my pockets at the moment!
