I have very mixed feelings about Bitcasino.io (which will become clear by the end of this review). Let's start with the good aspects of the casino.

* Bitcasino offers nearly instant deposits and withdrawals. Even when a cashout needs approval, it generally takes fewer than five minutes to obtain the necessary approval.

* Bitcasino has some extremely helpful customer service team members. Whenever I have had an issue with a game, they were there to assist. To be sure, some of the representatives are not great (and some are not even close to fluent in English), but if you get the right person on the other end of the live chat, he or she can help you a great deal.

* Bitcasino offers a very generous welcome package, and, until recently, they offered 25% reload bonuses up to five times per day.

* As far as crypto-only casinos go, Bitcasino's game selection is unparalleled. For slots, they have everything from Microgaming to NetEnt to Blueprint. And for live dealer games, they have myriad choices, including the complete Evolution platform.

* Bitcasino will offer, if you ask, free spins to compensate losses.

So I have been playing at Bitcasino for quite some time, but I recently made the decision to move all of my gaming activity elsewhere. Here's why:

* Free spins to compensate losses are only available if you ask. If you don't know to ask, you won't get them. This lack of transparency is a common theme at Bitcasino. Moreover, the free spins will only be awarded if your deposits exceed your withdrawals. So, for example, if you won 200 mBTC two weeks ago and then lost 150 mBTC, you will NOT be awarded free spins. You will need to lose the full 200 mBTC you won (and then some) before you will ever see a free spin again.

* Bitcasino offers a very generous VIP Program, but invitation to that program is based on a completely opaque and non-disclosed set of criteria. I have gambled a ton there, and was never invited to the program. In fact, just recently, Bitcasino concluded a leaderboard promotion, in which rank was based almost entirely on how much one wagered over the course of a week. I placed third on the leaderboard, but even that was not enough to be invited to the VIP Program. I have asked time and again what I must do to receive an invitation, but I have never been given such information.

* Until quite recently, Bitcasino offered a generous 25% reload bonus (up to five times per day). That is no longer available. (I should note that they slowly removed the promotion from players, and there was a week-long period where some customers could still access the promotion, but I could not.) Bitcasino has not made much of an effort to come up with replacement promotions. Aside from their welcome package and the recently concluded leaderboard promotion, the ONLY promotion on offer requires wagering about 300 mBTC in order to receive 10 free spins worth a grand total of €2.50. In short, their current promotions are pathetic.

* As one might infer from what I have written above, there are some customer service representatives that are not good. I've had one representative refuse to tell me (even an estimate) when another rep (who I had been working with) would next be in. I've also had a representative outright refuse to escalate a concern of mine to a superior. Even if the resolution of my concern would have remained unchanged, it was wrong of this representative to refuse to escalate my concern.

All in all, Bitcasino is a good option if you are looking for a crypto-casino with nearly instant deposits and withdrawals, as well as a plethora of games. But if you are looking to be rewarded for loyalty and reasonably high action, look elsewhere. Because I cannot even begin to guess how much one would need to wager (or lose) there in order to get invited to the VIP Program.

Live support doesn't ever really help. More often then not they will refer you to e-mail another e-mail or will take 30-45 minutes to answer/solve a problem that most other casinos can answer/fix in 2 minutes. My biggest gripe is the loyalty system. If you're not a VIP, which means over 1k in deposits per month or more, they just don't care about you.

Previously there were daily 25% deposit bonuses for players. This system has been dissolved with a new system including "exciting new weekly promotions". The first new promotion rolled out is just somewhat insulting. If you wager 1,800 euros on a particular slot, you'll get free spins with a total value of 2.5 euros. Get a 2.5 euro bonus for wagering 600x the amount in actual cash?

The support is awful. Basically the agents available during chat are humans, that are trained to act like robots. It is the worst qualities of a chat bot, combined with the least useful aspects of talking to a real human. English speaking agents are not able to understand complex descriptions or detailed explanations of issues when provided to them; and rather than asking questions or attempting to gain an understanding the customers point of view or trying to empathize, they IMMEDIATELY pick out the first few words, or whatever words they recognize, and IGNORE everything else, as if you never typed it. On top of the extremely poor support experience; the site regularly obfuscates, misrepresents, or outright refuses to disclose or explain a number of details for their various promotions, special offers, and loyalty programs, which make most of the incentives they advertise completely useless or otherwise unattainable.

Examples of unfair, unattainable, or exaggerated incentives/rewards:

1). Bonus codes and offers often require locking in at the beginning of a week long promotion; requiring certain criteria is met by the end of the promotion to qualify. No progress bar is given, no checklist or report of qualifications either met or unmet is available, the support agents will not verify if you have met the requirements if you ask them during the promotion, and when it is over; the rules often stipulate that prizes will be awarded 1 or more days later.If you do not receive the promised reward, you are not given any reason. They just delete the bonus code from your profile, and start marketing the next promotion to you. If you ask, you are not given details.Ie) (only one example of MANY) a promotion called Happy Hour promises 10-20% of losses during a certain period of the day, each day of the week, will be automatically credited back as a cash back bonus at the end of the week. The time of day is not provided up front, but emails are sent and a special banner is put up each day when the happy hour begins. Players play more aggressively, thinking they have a 10-20% larger tolerance for losses due to the promotion. Then when the promotion ends, they get nothing. They inquire for a reason, and learn that the banners and emails with the large graphical slogans "It's Happy Hour at bitcasino.io" and "Activate this promo and get 10-20% of your losses back automatically! "Etc. are sent out during random times, and do not indicate the Happy Hour has begun. Instead, the user is expected to have clicked the "see details" link, which brings you to the promotion page on the site with a list of prizes and then scroll to the bottom, and read some very fine print, stating Happy Hour begins and ends at the following times each day of the promotion. THEN, the user is also supposed to either remember or think to lookup the casino terms of service page, where about 2/3 down, in the middle of a paragraph about bonuses, there is a line that says "all times are in UTC" or whatever time zone they designate there, and do the conversion to their own local time zone on their own, to know when to play. Guess what... I'd be willing to bet they paid out VERY few cash backs on that promotion. This is just one of their many creative ways of sabotaging their incentive programs.

2). The VIP program is supposed to be for the best customers. No criteria or guideline is given for qualification, and they simply revoke the VIP status of anyone who does not play for a period of time for some reason.

I have personally deposited over 100 bitcoin (several hundred thousand dollars) since joining the site 4 years ago. My average monthly spend over that whole time is over $1000. My average over year 1 is double that, my average over year 2 is triple that, my average over year 3 is 1/10th or lower because I was not able to buy bitcoin in such large quantity anymore after the price soared, and now in year 4 now that I figured out how to buy bitcoin easily again my monthly spend is back up to $400-500. Now I discovered about weekly review; they rewarded me for the last 4 weeks with 10x 0.25-0.05-1.25-1.25 (the higher bets as a present because I didnt recieve weekly reviews--- while they gave me 10x 0.25 on a 8mbtc deposit (in a week man :-|). Imagine the weeks where I put 200 mbtc, 181, 90, etc.
