Casino VIP Tournament Issue and no cooperation

Oshi Casino promote weekly tournaments to both VIP and non VIP players. You play designated games and are awarded points relating to win rate. At the end of the week cash and free spin prizes are awarded to players with the most points - top 15 and top 20.

I am a VIP player and played the right games and had a very successful run and good win rate. There was however a very big problem. I was not being awarded any points.

I sent an email to the Oshi VIP and support team reporting the issue as soon as the problem occurred.

I received a strange reply from the VIP manager who first of all stated that no tournaments were available which is very strange. He also thought I wasn't a VIP player but confirms that I have the opportunity to play in the tournament when I became one.

I replied that was a VIP player and that I had deposited a lot in order to play in the tournament and that something needed to be done about the issue and that I need to be awarded the points for my gameplay.

The VIP manager then replies that nothing can be done about it, but that he will give me a good deal on future losses.

To have a system error preclude a player from participating in a tournament which they have paid money to be a part of is one thing... To then reply that nothing can be done is totally unacceptable.

For starters Oshi breaks its own tournament terms and conditions as I am not receiving points from the wins during gameplay.

What really gets me is that Oshi pride themselves on trustworthiness and being part of the Askgamblers "circle of trust".

How on earth can Oshi be trusted when they take no responsibility and do nothing when something goes wrong in one of their own tournaments.

From the 13/5/21 onwards I have deposited 0.01090167 BTC (just under $680 AUD) to play in the tournament. If the Oshi brand as well as being part of the Askgamblers circle of trust means anything to them they should refund it to me as this is a problem with their system.

As it stands I have no trust in Oshi whatsoever...

Following a careful review and consideration of all the information, details and/or proof presented by parties during the complaint process, the AskGamblers Complaint Team reached the conclusion that Oshi Casino management acted in accordance with their Terms and Conditions and even suggested goodwill gesture as compensation.

Based on the abovementioned information and taking into account the player's confirmation that all eligible payments were processed and received, the AskGamblers Complaint Team considers this case resolved and closed. While we understand this might not be the outcome expected by the complainant, we would like to remind you that in case of a disagreement with our decision further assistance on the matter could be requested from the relevant regulatory body and/or appointed ADR entity.

We have a strong reason to say that refund is not owed.
Statistics of your deposits and withdrawals for the tournament period is the follwing: deposits in btc = 0.011; cashouts in btc = 0.01. Thus, the money you want you have as a refund is no longer owed by us indeed. And unfortuantely we can't offer you any refund.
However, to keep both sides satisfied we want to offer you first place prize in above mentioned tournament as this tournament is bone of contention here. Thus, you may find 40 eur bonus wx40 (equal to 0.0015 btc) available inside your account.

With respect I strongly disagree with your assessment that a refund is not owed....

The reason the deposits were made and played was for the sole purpose of participating in the tournament and scoring points in order to win it... Supporting evidence is already attached above. Refer to my email dated 12/5/21 which was the first day of the tournament. In that email state that my reason for playing is for the tournament.

The issue that Oshi had with their tournament (non allocation of points) meant the $$$ I was depositing and playing through to get points was a complete waste... When a customer does not get what they paid for they are entitled to a refund.

As you have stated, co-operation in these matters is important and even though I believe the full amount should be returned I am willing to make concessions and will accept 50% ($340) be refunded.

Given Oshi's deceptive conduct during the complaints resolution process this offer to resolve the matter at a reduced rate should be graciously accepted. It is more than fair, and to be honest it's more than Oshi deserve, but it will resolve the matter.

AskGamblers Complaint Team has thoroughly considered all the information provided during the complaint process and concluded the technical issue that happened during the tournament hasn’t been clearly explained in a sense what and why happened, when was it fixed and how. As much as we understand that the deposit was played and that the refund is not owed, we believe and strongly suggest that some compensation is the least the casino could do to bring satisfactory results for both sides.

We thank you for your understanding and we believe that with your cooperation this complaint can be successfully closed as Resolved.
