Bust the Bank Slot Microgaming

Bust the Bank is a 243-way video slot which runs on the Microgaming software platform. The game’s wild card is the Bust the Bank Logo symbol and the Bomb icon is the scatter. Players can test the slot on this page for free or play the game for real money in any of the listed Microgaming casinos.

In order to join either the thief of the police officer, one should select their wager first. Players can choose the coin value from 0.01 to 1 by clicking “Bet” and then “Coin Size”. Pressing “Bet” and then “Coins” alters the number of coins wagered. The “Bet” arrows choose the total bet. “Spin” starts the game, while “Autoplay” spins the reels multiple times uninterrupted.

3 or more Bomb icons trigger the Free Spins bonus game, wherein players receive 8 Free Spins and reels 1 and 5 are transformed into wild reels. The bonus game cannot be re-triggered during the Free Spin round.

1 Safe symbol on reels 1 or 5 activates the Safe bonus game, in which players can win up to 6 Bonus prizes on a spin. As the Safe opens, players win a random bonus amount. Coins pour down from the Safe symbol and the random bonus win amount is doubled for every symbol the coins pour over.

When 1 Piggy Bank icon emerges on reel 3, the Piggy Bank bonus game is initiated. In this game players smash the piggy bank to reveal a random bonus amount.

When 5 Robber symbols appear on an activated payline, a jackpot of 1,500 coins will be won.

With Bust the Bank slot released by Microgaming in 2013, you'll get to experience the thrill of robbing a bank basically which for sure gives you excitement. The game was a huge success when it came out that a lot of other providers tried to replicate it, so you may see a lot of similar games like this one. The game has 5 reels and 243paylines with the minimal bet being 0.30$ up to 300$ per spin.

Microgaming is well known for providing games with amazing design and the Bust the Bank is no exception too. The symbols in the game match the theme and are very unique. You will be able to have a look at robbers, cops, lady officer in a car, bank, security white van, sticks of dynamite, and a bulldog. The base game winnings can be decent, as the Bomb(scatter) pays 50x for 5 of a kind, same as Green cap robber making them two best paying symbols.

The Bust the Bank has some interesting features. There is the Safe bonus feature that lands only on reels 1 and 5, afterward, it will crack and pour winnings, the symbols below safe bonus will be turned into winnings too, usually 5-10x your stake. The maximum of 6 wins is possible, so its something just to keep your balance steady. You should watch out for the Piggy Bank symbol landing on the middle reel, as this will activate the feature. As it lands you will have to click on Piggy Bank to crack it open and it gives you Smashing Wild Coin Win.

Getting the free spins can be quite hard to get, 3 or more Skull bombs(scatter) symbols are needed to trigger the free spins, and then you’ll be rewarded with 8 free spins. As soon the free spins start, you will notice that reels 1 and 5 are turned into fully stacked wild reels, and every Skull bomb you get on the reel will give you 1 extra free spin. There is a potential of course but the maximum you can win during free spins is only 450x your stake, and that's possible only if you get best-paying symbols on all reels, which is unlikely to happen. Playing this game for almost 2 hours my biggest winnings were 50-60x during free spins, as it's very hard to connect winnings with many dead spins occurring.

This could be easily one of the best slots that Microgaming released because of the cartoon-style graphics that are really entertaining, making the game fun to play. But when you have a closer look at paytable the excitement just goes away, making this game be a medium variance slot that just keeps you frustrated over and over again.

Okaay, how about another go on a cartoon game from you-know-who? Well, don't know about you, but I'm game for another cartoon game, and this time it's all about cops, robbers and howling bulldogs. Nothing new or novel of course, because just about every game provider has a similar themed game in their list. From MG, it's called Bust the Bank. From me, it's called "if you can".

Just look at those cartoon figures - a fearsome looking cop, a ferocious howling police bulldog, a fat robber and a thin robber. Why robbers always seem to come in this fat-thin combination, I really just don't know. And just look at that beautiful lady cop driving her patrol car at high speed with her head out like that. Ooh boy! Must be a really really cool and skilled driver that lady. I myself cannot drive my car at high speed with my head out like that, can you? And did you also catch a glimpse of that ferocious bulldog whenever that svelty poodle trots past him? Ooh boy, see the love in the bulldog's eyes! Hehehe. Cute. Real cute. But cute and crazy characters don't make a good game, nah, not even with hot poodles. Only a hot paytable can.

And talking about looking under the table, you would expect to see a pair of smooth shapely fair-skinned legs, right? Yeah, but not under a paytable. All you can see are icons, numbers and wordings, like that 'Bust the Bank' logo, which is the Wild symbol, and which doesn't pay for itself nor do anything much at all. The Skull is the Scatter symbol, 5 of which pays a very low 50x the total bet, getting 3, 4 or 5 of them award 8 free spins without any multiplier, with no possible retriggers too. Sheesh! All the other symbols have very low values too, from 50x down to 1.6x the total bet. Talk about a very low paytable, this one is almost touching the floor!

In the base game, a Safe may appear on reel 1 or 5, whereby this safe would then open up and pours out coins, turning the symbol directly below it into a coins-pouring safe too. But get your hopes too high though. There usually isn't much coins in those safes at all. Also in the base game, a Piggy bank may randomly appear on reel 3 for you to smash and get the coins in it. This little Smash Piggy is better than the safe, awarding me up to 50x my total bet so far.

Trying to get the Free Spins game can be very hard indeed. In this game, both reel 1 and 5 become Expanded Wild reels for the entire 8 free spins. Each Skull appearing during the free spins awards 1 more free spin, and that's about it. For me, the few Free Spins games that I had gotten weren't that fruitful at all, except for one game. Payouts were mostly around the 20x to 40x the total bet amount. Yeah, not a lot. Never a lot.

With a paytable that's as low as almost touching the floor, Bust the Bank failed to impress me, even though playing it was quite fun. But it isn't fun that gamblers are looking for, is it?

I generally love games that have several different features to offer. Bust the Bank is one of those games. I played this game only once when I came across it in the 32 Red Casino. It is a game that offers entertainment and at the same times small wins that come on regular basis. At that point, it was all that I needed. Also the highest five of a kind win that I got during the base game was 30 x bet.

The safe bonus can be awarded on the first and the fifth reel only. The safe door opens up and the coins come out of it. I triggered this minor bonus couple of times and I have not won anything more than 18 euros. Actually, every time I was getting the same amount, I do not know if it has something to do with the bet or that was just a coincidence.

The piggy bank on the third reel awards the Piggy Bank Bonus. I triggered this feature only once and I did not win much. I think the win was around 7 euros, but I honestly do not remember precisely. If it was a huge win I would remember that for sure.
Reels 1 and 5 are wilds in the free spins round. This is the main feature. If you land 3 or more scatters you get only 8 free spins. It took me more than 500 spins to trigger the free spins though. I got 66.33 euros. I could not trigger the free game again, even though I have played this slot for a very long. The thing with this game is that you lose track of time. You have fun while you are playing, you always win something. I have to say that this is the most relaxing game I have played in a very long time.
