Refusing to refund deposits from Restricted country player
On February 8 2020 I registered an account at Cbet.gg . Since gambling is allowed in my country and I found the link to the casino on a Swedish recommendation web page, I can admit that I mainly read the bonus and withdrawal terms detailed and skimmed through the rest. I had no reason to believe to find Sweden in the Restricted country list, since i had received direct promotion to register.
I played at Cbet until beginning of June, when I decided to close my account due to lack of winnings and poor VIP offers. I was just about to open my account again when I noticed in 7.1. of Cbets Terms and Conditions, that Sweden is a restricted country for playing at Cbet. I was surprised and stunned. I am very well aware of that casinos at any time can close and withhold winnings if you violate the terms –but the thing is that I have never tried to disclose I am from Sweden. I registered my address upon registration (with country Sweden) and my proof of address was approved. I do not use/hide/change my VPN or even know how to do that.
It is obvious to me that Cbet try to lure customers from restricted countries to register, and if they win big, Cbet can withhold their winnings. This of course creates a situation for me that I cannot play at Cbet again since they at any time would be able to close my account.
I think it is an absolutely reasonably request that Cbet refund my deposits of a total of 5970 E (deposits minus winnings) to me. This since they have allowed me to play and approved my account, in violation of their own terms and that I have no chance of continue to play win back or continue play with them. Since I have closed my account I cannot show the transactions but please see attached chat transcript where the amount is confirmed, as well as confirmation on that they have had my full address registered.
I have tried to solve the complaint directly with Cbet but they just refer to that is my own responsibility not to play at them if it is not allowed in my country. Since it is allowed in my country for players to play at foreign casinos, I mean that it is their responsibility not to allow players to register if they are restricted in their terms. Sweden is possible to chose when registering which is directly deceptive against their T&C:s.
I hope that Askgamblers can help and mediate in this conflict.
