Gaming industry leader Genting Casino has made an important announcement. The company, which has emerged as the largest casino operator in the United Kingdom, has made an official contract with Aston Villa F.C. to be their Main Club Sponsor. This deal is set to last for two years and will remain intact through the end of the 2012/2013 season.
This agreement, which may be extended for several more years, dictates that the Genting logo will be on all Aston Villa shirts. Additionally, Genting will be hosting a variety of benefits. Of course, the contract means that both Genting and Aston Villa F.C. will be working together on all prospects, both local and international.
The company of Genting, although its main office is in Star City, Birmingham, is actually a part of the Malaysian-based Genting Group. The UK branch operates 40 of the nation's largest casinos. Other ventures that this global conglomerate has business in include power, oil palm plantation, real estate development, retail sales, and various other hospitality interests. The company is most known in Malaysia for its Resorts World brand, which operates various casinos and resorts in various Oceanic countries including the Philippines and Singapore. Genting is also working on projects in both the Aqueduct racetrack in New York, and has done work for the NEC in the city of Birmingham. Genting is also the owner of Star Cruises, the largest Asian cruise brand, and also holds 50% of Norwegian Cruise Line.
