October has always been an amazing month. Even though summer is over, many people find solace in the Halloween festivities. On the other hand, if you are artsy-type then you know that October is reserved for Inktober. This year, Yggdrasil software provider decided to join this challenge, and to show off a bit.
What is Inktober?
For those of you who don’t know, Inktober is a monthly challenge which takes place every October. Yes, we know, the name gives it all away but you have to admit it is a catchy name. Anyways, each October, artists from all over the world take on the Inktober Drawing Challenge by creating one ink drawing a day for the entire month.
Get your pens at the ready because it’s time for Inktober!
Inktober was created by Jake Parker back in 2009, and was designed as a challenge to improve inking skills and develop positive drawing habits. Ever since the very beginning, this simple concept has developed into a worldwide challenge which engages thousands of artists each year, from the budding talent to the proven master. Anyone can join, on any day during the month, you just need to pick up a pen and ink drawings on different themes.
How Does Yggdrasil Fit In?
This year, Yggdrasil team has decided to join the annual challenge, and to showcase their artistic talent to anyone who likes this kind of fun pastime. This is the part of the company’s ongoing commitment to promote artistic talent, and we all know that the guys from Yggdrasil have the abundance of that.
This company is renowned for hiring the finest and most creative artists and designers to work on the online slots which Yggdrasil later turns into reality. Inktober will serve them as an outlet to showcase its team’s creations to the public.
Hennie Blaauw, Creative Director at Yggdrasil Gaming, said: ″Creativity is in our DNA at Yggdrasil and we are having great fun participating in this year’s Inktober. By showcasing what our artists are capable of, we make people aware of the dazzling array of talent we currently have at our disposal. Like the finest art itself, Yggdrasil offers its key creatives the chance to be original, and that has always been reflected in the games we produce.″
Aside from encouraging originality and fueling inspiration amongst Yggdrasil’s own artists, who will be asked to create one or two pieces each, the initiative will also help them refine and perfect their skills.
If you would like to take a look, you can find all drawings on social media under relevant hashtags such as #inktober or #inktober2017, but we would urge you to take a look at what has the incredibly talented team of Yggdrasil Gaming managed to ink. All you need to do is visit Yggdrasil’s official site and enjoy the magic that comes under their pen.
