SiGMA 2017 Nominations Are Open

SiGMA 2017 Awards Nominations are Open

The year 2017 is getting close to its end and the online gambling industry has shifted to 5th gear! Ahead of us is the second edition of the Malta Gaming Awards, that will take place on November 22nd, during the Malta Gaming Week. However, the biggest excitement is expected on the following evening when the fourth edition of SiGMA welcomes the best of the best from the iGaming world. The nominations are open and here’s how it all looks like!

Twelve Great SiGMA Awards Are Up for Grabs

Let’s use the “first things first” expression and say a few words about the SiGMA application requirements. Candidates wishing to fight for glory should have three features in mind before submitting their applications:

  1. Nominees should have a connection with Malta
  2. Entire income from the event goes to charity
  3. Award ceremony shall be held during the Malta Gaming Week

In 2016, the first edition of SiGMA Awards manifestation had 6 categories, including Affiliate of the Year, Careers Program of the Year, Corporate Responsibility of the Year, Fastest Growing Operator of the Year, Innovator of the Year, and Investor of the Year.

The Affiliate of the Year Award, plus 11 more awards are set and ready waiting for SiGMA 2017 Awards Nominations to arrive.

This year’s happening raised the stakes to the number of twelve awards, all ending with ‘of the year’ title, and they start with the popular Affiliate of the Year award. The whole list includes these categories:

  1. Affiliate
  2. Fastest Growing White Label
  3. Innovator
  4. Investor
  5. Games Vendor
  6. Legal Firm
  7. Casino
  8. Lotto Product
  9. Careers Program
  10. Corporate Responsibility
  11. Sports Book Operator
  12. ICO

If you've jumped into a conclusion that this was all, you’d might want to reconsider that thought. The best part is yet to come, and it lands with style – firstly, you may nominate any company you feel had an extraordinary performance in 2017, and you can do it starting now

Secondly, this year’s bigger venue is named iGaming Village and is about to host a huge charity dinner organized by the BiG Foundation.

The goal standing behind the dinner is to raise funds in aid of Reaching Out and the Malta Community Chest Fund. Having in mind that SiGMA 2016 hosted almost 4000 attendees, all interested individuals are advised to book their seats as soon as possible.

Eight Core Pillars of SiGMA

As an outstanding event, SiGMA’s core values are based on showcasing the full workforce and knowledge potential within the iGaming universe. Knowing that Malta is home to over 300 gaming companies, 450 licenses and round 10,000 hard-working iGaming professionals, it’s no wonder that SiGMA promotes the following eight pillars:

  • Industry Trend
  • Trust
  • Recruitment
  • Location
  • Knowledge
  • Value
  • Hospitality
  • Early Booking Rewarded

To sum it all up, we’ll close our SiGMA 2017 announcement with the words coming from Joseph Cuschieri, the Chairman of the Malta Gaming Authority, who said “SiGMA is an excellent networking and knowledge sharing opportunity for local gaming operators, service providers and other industry players seeking to operate in or from Malta. I believe that events like SiGMA can showcase Malta’s unique attributes and strengthen our position as a world class gaming jurisdiction.”
