SBC’S Barcelona Summit is Being Transferred to a Digital Platform

Sport Betting Community SBC Events has recently revealed that its flagship expo that was supposed to be held in Barcelona in September will now be a digital-only event for 2020. The SBC Summit Barcelona - Digital will take place on 8 September and last until11 September. The event will build on the success of SBC’s previous online happenings in bringing the gambling industry together regardless of the COVID-19 outbreak.

With numerous restrictions the world is currently facing, the need and desire for travel for both SBC Events and The SBC Summit Barcelona – Digital and its participants is likely to decrease. After consulting with key stakeholders, SBC Events has made the decision to transfer the Barcelona event to a digital platform this year to help exhibitors, speakers and delegates make plans with certainty in an ambiguous environment.

SBC Founder & CEO Rasmus Sojmark explained: “SBC Events has pushed back the boundaries for what is possible for virtual exhibitions and conferences in the gambling sector, which is why we feel confident that moving the Barcelona event into an online environment will be welcomed by the industry.”

Must-Attend Gathering for the Betting & Gaming Industry

The 4-day digital event will be a mixture of presenting the latest products and solutions regarding the industry – an extensive conference featuring high-quality speakers, and unparalleled networking capabilities in the digital space.

The SBC Summit Barcelona will be encompassing and connecting all industry sectors across the globe.

SBC Chief Operating Officer David Knight added: “SBC has rightly gained a reputation for providing high-quality discussions and unmatched networking events, and have also proven ourselves to be the leaders in providing digital exhibitions during the COVID-19 outbreak. The SBC Summit Barcelona - Digital will combine these attributes to deliver a must-attend gathering for the gambling industry.

Digital will feature 100 exhibitors and 8 conference tracks across the four days, including a special program dedicated to industry innovation on the 2nd day of the event. Other verticals will include:

The event will also retain the Big Stage conference track for the most important topics and speakers, with CEOs from the different sectors of the industry sharing their insight with delegates.

SBC Chief Commercial Officer Jaap Kalma said that many of the event’s sponsors were already on board: “We couldn’t put any of our events on without our sponsors and exhibitors, which is why it is fantastic that many of them have recognized we have their best interests at heart and readily welcomed the move to digital for the Barcelona event.

Several of them have been encouraged by their experience from our first online event, the SBC Digital Summit last month, and the new event will build on that experience to create an even better environment to make contacts, get leads, do business and learn best practice from the leading lights in the industry.
