CasinoBeats Malta 2020
CasinoBeats Malta 2020 panels covered everything from staff shortage, HR challenges during COVID-19 and the position of women in iGaming to talks of challenging regulatory climate concerning the way affiliates operate, UKGC credit card ban, potential consolidation of payment methods, and the online casino development in Japan. Many other, essential matters have been discussed as well, bringing them into the much-deserved spotlight.
A Quick Retrospective on CasinoBeats Malta 2020
In her interview with AskGamblers, Kelly Kehn - a Global Relationships Director at SBC – had revealed the majority of topics that would be discussed at the conference, announcing pretty important panels that could, in the long run, affect the course of gambling overall.
CasinoBeats Malta Digital featured 3,000 delegates, 120 speakers and 40 exhibitors.
Although the pandemic hit the gambling market, Kehn remained confident that things would work out fine. "We have a team that is willing to do whatever it takes to get a job done, and we have clients and partners that signed up to an offering they've never seen before because of the trust we've built over the years", reflected the Global Relationships Director. She added that they would continue to adapt and overcome the obstacles, just as all businesses will. "But it gets easier when you have a team and partners to count on along the way".
Accompanied by a series of themed networking events, CasinoBeats Malta Digital featured 3,000 delegates, 120 speakers and 40 exhibitors. Kelly said that everyone from the event was proud to have several people-focused discussions taking place, considering topics such as workforce mental health and wellbeing, resourcing to meet regulatory requirements, and the skills shortage.
The event saw speakers from the MGA, leading companies including Catena Media, Kindred and LeoVegas as well as speakers from Betway, Parimatch, Pixelbet and ESI commenting on Malta's burgeoning esports sector.
AskGamblers attended the conference, too, getting a chance to, first-hand, see the power behind all panels, and – consequently – participate in some of them.
AskGamblers' Account Manager Dijana Radunovic took part in the Women in iGaming panel, leaving it with powerful impressions.
"CasinoBeats gave everyone a great chance to meet new partners and exchange opinions on the new trends in the industry and discuss important issues. It was truly a privilege to be invited to participate in this panel", said Dijana. She further gave her from-woman-to-woman advice to her colleagues in the iGaming industry: "Respect yourself, do not be afraid to speak up, be brave, but don't compromise your gentle side. It is important to see the difference between being offended and being complimented. We must not forget how to differentiate these."
The overall feel of the 3-day conference was that they'd managed to get useful and introspective observations away from the 'local' content and attach it to a broad range of leadership, product, affiliate marketing and regulatory-focused sessions.
SBC Digital Summit: North America
As announced, SBC Digital Summit North America taking place from 14 July till 16 July is expected to be the largest online event in North America, delivering an entirely virtual and interactive conference, networking experience and exhibition. The focus of the conference is placed on the U.S. betting and gaming industry.
In Kelly Kehn's words, "SBC Digital Summit North America is exciting for different reasons. It is a market that is growing so fast (despite the pandemic) with opportunities for everyone! We are predicting 3000 delegates for this one, and I'm really excited about the new partnerships we are building with the likes of Tribal associations, lotteries, state regulators, sports leagues and media".
The partnerships emerge with the likes of Tribal associations, lotteries, state regulators, sports leagues and media.
SBC has gathered a group of high-profile industry executives who are expected to attend North America SBC and share insights and ideas on how to handle 2020's unprecedented market conditions.
Kehn said: "I'm especially looking forward to the four fireside chats we are hosting during the event including Jay Snowden, CEO of Penn National interviewed by GGB's Roger Gros, Zach Leonsis of Monumental Sports interviewed by CDC Gaming's Howard Stutz, Roxy Roxborough, legendary Vegas oddsmaker, interviewed by ESPN's David Purdum and Erika Nardini, Barstool Sports CEO, interviewed by our own Sue Schneider”.
