NetEnt is upgrading their games from flash to HTML5.

NetEnt Pioneers in Upgrades from Flash to HTML5

According to everything that has been going on lately in the igaming business, it seems that the flash era is officially over, and HTML5 is taking its place. The leading provider of digital gaming solutions, NetEnt took the lead as they decided to make migrations and upgrade their online slots and other games, by moving them from flash to HTML5.

End of an Era

Flash media was handy to have while it lasted, but now, this era is coming to an end. Large browser suppliers gave an official public announcement that they will no longer support Flash, and this of course means that some changes need to be introduced.

With this in mind, NetEnt software provider, has decided to move everything to HTML5, a technology that is supported by browsers. As a pioneer of this, so to speak movement, NetEnt was able to upgrade a total of 70 top-performing classic titles from flash to HTML5, which is why you are still able to enjoy them without any issues.

Why HTML5?

We learned to love flash especially since it has been here for more than a decade, helping us run video content on the web, but it is time to say goodbye. HTML5 on the other hand has been around for only couple of years, but it has proven its worth.

In terms of online slots and games in general, HTML5 helps providers offer better player experience. HTML5 provides better graphics, sounds and animation, making games much more vivid and ensnaring.

NetEnt has also ensured to develop mobile versions of all the games that they have managed to upgrade so far. This enables players to enjoy their favorite games in superior quality even while they are on the go, not only from the comfort of their home.

Henrik Fagerlund, Chief Product Officer of NetEnt, said: "This is an exciting time as we expand our technological reach and it is crucial we are able to give players the chance to keep playing their favourite games. Given the growth of mobile gaming, we have to continue establishing ourselves as an industry leader by making these advancements and moving with the times."

Most recent four titles known to everyone that have been upgraded include:

Apart from NetEnt online slot segments and table games, they plan to upgrade Video Poker games, and some specialty games such as Baccarat. So feel free to expect wonders from this software provider, and in the meantime, pick your favorite classic game and enjoy it in HTML5.
