In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to extend the adaptive quarantine in the country until the end of 2020. To be in line with the Government’s decision, the team of organizers of the Ukrainian Gaming Week trade show have announced the event will be postponed to February 24-25, 2021.
Ukrainian Gaming Week Postponed to 2021
Ukraine has toughened the requirements to mass events and determined the maximum number of people that can attend them. As currently events can gather up to 50 visitors, the Ukrainian Gaming Week trade show organisers have decided it would be safer to postpone the event to February 2021.
The Ukrainian Gaming Week trade show organisers take the safety of guests very seriously and therefore decide to postpone the event to 2021.
The Ukrainian Gaming Week trade show organisers take the safety of guests, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, and media partners of the event very seriously. The organisers feel that, under the current conditions of the unstable epidemiological situation, participants and attendees of the event should maintain excellent well-being and not expose themselves to the risk of catching the virus.
The full-scale Ukrainian Gaming Week exhibition will take place on 24-25 February, 2021.
After new restrictions were introduced in Poland, Slovakia, France, Ireland, Slovenia, and Germany, Ukraine has joined them in strengthening quarantine measures to avoid the spread of the coronavirus.
Taking into account the current circumstances and in order to secure attendees and participants, while also ensuring a seamless access to the event, the organisers have decided to postpone the event to February 24-25, 2021.
Rescheduling Event Allows Organisers to Form a More Intense Program
The organisers want all interested parties to get to the exhibition venue without obstacles. Since several countries of the world are strengthening their quarantine restrictions, the organisers feel the UGW foreign exhibitors and guests could face difficulties if they plan trips and realise travels now.
Rescheduling of the exhibition to a later date allows us to form an even more intense program.
“Rescheduling of the exhibition to a later date allows us to form an even more intense program, as well as to meet requirements and interests of everyone who declared participation in the event and planned to attend it as a guest. We will keep observing the situation in the world and getting Ukrainian Gaming Week ready to host the biggest industry event in 2021 that will unite leading gambling industry representatives of different countries” – the organisers explained.
