Interview with Konstantinos Sarikakis, Head of Affiliate Marketing at Campeon Gaming Partners

Although being relatively new, Campeon Gaming Partners are rapidly growing and have already proven to be among the best iGaming operators in the online casino industry. Being a superior brand, they are known to be very professional and user-oriented. That’s exactly why AskGamblers Account Managers - Bane, Milica, Jovan, Dijana and Ivan – have decided to talk to Konstantinos Sarikakis who is the Head of Affiliate Marketing at Campeon Gaming Partners. It’s time to find out what our interviewee and Campeon have been up to!

Introducing Konstantinos Sarikakis

Working in the marketing sector was one of Kostas’ top goals since he finished school. After he graduated Marketing in the University of Athens, he had his first “contact” with the online gaming industry. At that time, two of his closest friends were working at a top online gaming company and told Kostas to join them, which he did, without giving it a second thought.

That’s how he entered the world of online gaming and continued working in the industry. Altogether, it’s been 12 years up until now. Kostas first started as an Affiliate manager assistant for the Greek market and soon thereafter, he managed to become the Head of the Affiliate team for Eastern European market that his team was handling.

It has been very thrilling to be a part of such a rapidly growing company.

He has been working for Campeon Gaming Partners for over a year and, as he says, it has been very thrilling to be a part of such a rapidly growing company with so much potential and ambition. According to our interviewee, it is great to contribute to such an exceptional team of professionals that get together to really do amazing work.

Jovan: As Head of Affiliate Marketing at Campeon Gaming Partners, what was and perhaps still is, the biggest challenge that you face in everyday situations?

The biggest challenge perhaps is dealing with unexpected situations. I think we all have situations that we need to stop and think what is the next step. How do we deal with what we have now on the table and make it work? I guess this is the natural process of any industry, or depart­men­t.  

The main point here is not to get stuck and to continue moving forward; by adjusting our methods, listening to each other, and most importantly trying to make sure we are as transparent as possible with our team mates, as well as with our partners and our players. 

Ivan: Campeon Casino is famous for delivering widespread content across different verticals - sports betting, virtual sports, online casino, live casino – in total, your platform offers more than 5000 games. But, besides an extensive iGaming portfolio, what are other qualities that help Campeon Casino attract its players?

Besides the range of our games which is constantly growing, what we are trying to provide in all of our brands are more localized offers that will optimize our players experience. Our ultimate goal is to make our platforms feel "home-y" and "approachable" for a wide range of players. As part of this global outreach and localization, we are always incorporating new payment solutions on our casinos. 

In the past year we have successfully partnered with great payment providers such as Safecharge, MuchBetter e-wallet, Paysafe Group, Ecopayz, Euteller and we are continuously expanding our payment alternatives. This is one of the greatest advantages of our brands, you will find many different currencies that you can use with your ‘local’ payment methods.

Our cooperation and partnerships ensure that we provide the best quality of games, payment solutions and platforms available, and I think players can see all of these alternatives once they enter our casino.

Milica: Campeon Casino was chosen to be the Best New Casino during the AskGamblers Awards show in January this year. It basically proves that you have become one of the leading brands in the iGaming industry, in a short period of time. Is there a secret formula for such an accomplishment?

There is truly no secret formula, but it was all sweat and hard work, from all teams and all departments, from customer support, to the marketing team, the affiliate team, the design team, all the way to top management. We have been working in tandem, trying to understand the needs of our players and our partners, to make sure we are consistently flexible, reliable and accessible. 

We are constantly trying to upgrade our product, expand our partnerships and add new providers.

Also, since the very beginning we were constantly trying to upgrade our product, expand our partnerships and add new providers. We have managed to get a hold of ‘big names’ in the industry such as Play n’ GO, EGT Interactive, and Microgaming - for our current and upcoming projects - which is a big success for us. Our partnerships, are an important part of what we are and how we have been able to grow our brands.  

Nevertheless, there is no doubt that we were all very thrilled and happy to know that we could actually get so far with our first brand.

Dijana: If you had 3 words to describe your casino, what would they be (and why)?

Fun – I think it is important for a casino to be fun for any player. We have a massive library of online slots for every taste and like. I don’t think you have a chance to get bored at our casino.

User-friendly - I think I mentioned this before, but we are working hard in making our casino feel as friendly as possible, with the most localized offers and bonuses, currencies, payment methods, so that our players feel like they are truly looked after.

Campeon - Everyone has a real chance here to become a Campeon. In the end, isn’t this what it is all about? 

Bane: Apart from getting Swedish license, you are also in the process of getting the UKGC license. So far, your interface has been available in eight different languages to suit different kinds of players in Europe and Latin America. Any plans for further expansion?

We are trying to make 2019 the Campeon year. We are looking into incorporating more licenses, such as the MGA, UKGC, and Swedish License, either in our own brands or in white label corporations in order to enter new markets that were previously restricted, and in this way increase our appeal to players globally. 

We are also looking into adding some new providers, expand our payment solutions and improve our products. You can expect some exciting changes in the upcoming months. We have also a couple of new brands under our sleeve that we will hopefully be able to disclose some more details soon!
